And it's the final stretch, ladies and gentlemen. Will your team emerge victorius, or will they languish in the bowels of the rankings? Your votes will determine it, so vote now, and good luck to all the teams! ^_^

After several easy rounds, I have to make a hard choice again?
Layla was an automatic vote.
My other vote came down to a choice between Rosetta, Rena and Hermes. I like Rosetta a lot, but Layla and Sora (who I also voted for) are the two Kaleido Star characters who really stand head and shoulders above the rest IMO. And I think Rena is very moe~... but I'm not sure how much I appreciate her as a character. I wouldn't exactly want to have her making me dinner, if you know what I mean. Hermes, on the other hand, is amusing and endearing (and probably fighting an uphill battle, being the only non-humanoid being in the round). So my second vote went to him.

Ichijou-san (Pani Poni Dash)
Layla Hamilton (Kaliedo Star)
Rena Ryugu (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni)
Xelloss (Slayers)
No, seriously, what happened to this round? NONE of these characters are top tier for me. There's not a single one I'd give an instant vote to :sd: These are all like, third or fourth tier characters, even on the shortlist, except maybe Xelloss.
So uh... Xelloss and... ummmmm... ::plays the 'ask a friend to pick a number without telling him what it's for' game again:: ...Layla it is.

Hmm... interesting round for me. Mytho was an easy vote, since he's my favorite character in a series I love. The second one was a bit trickier, but since I modeled an NPC off of Xelloss, that's where my second vote went.

NONE of these characters are top tier for me.
So would you have voted for any one of these: Teletha Testarossa, Hitomi Kanzaki, Kero-chan, Ranma, Katsuhiko Jinnai, Captain Goto... :sd: ...because they were all top of my reserves list that dunno pulled Setsuna from.
(Tylor was near the top, but not at it)
For the record, Setsuna's full name is Setsuna Sakurazaki. Her surname isn't showing on the poll.
Get your Setsuna pictures here.

The others, no (except maybe Kero, if he never had shown us his silly ass true form, but Tessa would have been OH GOD YES INSTAVOTE.
Though I haven't seen Negima, so I can't say they're "better" than Setsuna, who I'm sure I'd like if I actually saw the show. But Tessa... Tessa is awesome and would have been shortlisted on any of the rounds and been a vote getter in at least half.

Honestly, looking at the field this round, Xelloss has a good chance at flat out winning it... but that may be my bias, since I range from 'decent' to 'meh' on every other character this round (and there are some I just don't know).

I'm actually quite flabbergasted that she wasn't picked in the first half of the draft, let alone not at all. Still, I don't think Setsuna is a bad choice, especially this late. Negima seems popular around here, and constantly kicks ass in the New Releases polls in R1. Whether or not Negima popularity implies Setsuna popularity, I don't know, but if it does you should be in good shape.

Miko: What do you think, coach?
Jimmie: One good turn deserves another. Do what you can to help them.
Miko: You got it! *Goes to Victor's clubhouse & slays the demons*
Miko: Man, this was more for Sango than for me! Anyway, I've cleaned house for you, Imari. Save some of those students for me!
Jimmie: Now we won't see Miko again until the Draft is over...
The dirty old freak, Happosai just showed up with Hinako’s round results. “If I wound up doing worse than Mika-sensei or Haruka, I’m going to drain you so dry you’ll never wake up from my attack,” Hinako yelled. Happosai tells Hinako that she still lost to Mika-sensei, but beat Haruka. After finding out the results, Hinako decides to let Happosai live, but not before she sucked his battle aura within an inch of his life. Also, Haruka has now awakened from her most recent coma and tells Hinako “Congratulations” as Washu is ready to make her next move. “Ok, the school is free of the demon threat, but now we have to get the students back to normal,” Washu told everyone. “Mizuho and Misato, you will help me please some students and satisfy their desires. Mika and Hinako, please round up the students still in the building and deliver them to us. Mutsuki, call up your fellow mama-teachers and have them clean up the school. You can have Osaka and Haruka help you with this. Becky, I need you to look up Imari’s file in the office and add this incident to her permanent record.”
With all the duties assigned to everyone, Becky proceeded to the office. On the way she ran into Ichijo-san, who started hanging all over Becky. Becky told Ichijo to get off of her or be sent down for treatment right away with the other students. Ichijo did as Becky had asked and Becky had then asked Ichijo for some help. “Ichijo-san, I need some help in the office finding Imari’s file. Will you help me?” Becky said. “If you help me, I give you that second vote my group has for this round.” Ichijo agreed and the two went up to the office to locate Imari’s file. After finding the file and updating it, Becky called Washu and told her, “Mission Accomplished.”
Final round votes go to Mutsuki Ichimonji (Happy Lesson) and Ichijo-san (Paniponi Dash)

Mytho got my first vote here. Not my favorite male character in Tutu, but I still found him very interesting.
Second vote definitely goes to Gene Starwind. He's a former member of my own draft team, so have to go with him (made Outlaw Star a fun series in my opinion). There are some other choices that were tempting in this round, Kaleido Star characters for instance.
Hopefully people that are waiting for the Kurau's DVD's from ADV will show their support in this round. My second vote went to Dorothy from MAR.

Nuts...looks like my plan of splitting the votes has failed miserably as everyone is voting for Layla...wah.
Won't regret it though, love to Rosetta.
Second vote was quite tricky, Layla, Setchan, Hermes, Xelloss and Ichijou-san all considered, however due to the fact he was one of the first anime characters I thought was genuinelly hilarious and it was the show that got me into anime, I went with James from Pokemon. (I miss Eric Stuart... )

I was doing all right through the first five rounds, but then my team dropped like a rock with Mika, Haruka, and Hinako averaging only 3 points each. I do have one good thing to be proud of even though my team will end up in the bottom half of the totals when things wrap up tomorrow. All four of the duels that I set up to counter another pick made in that round (Majors, Child Teachers, Choushin, Hentai) wound up with my characters winning the duels. :>

Going into the voting I felt I had a chance as good as anybody. During the drafting process I was getting all the picks I wanted until about round 5, and then I finally started to have to make tough alternative decisions, which of course was the start of my freefall in voting numbers. Lupin and Layla were last minute additions to my draft list, and they pretty much bailed me out.
I'd like to thank all those that put in your votes for my team, and my fellow 17 competitors for a non-controversial, no bickering, tightly run, and NO TIES Anime Draft. By far the best since I've been participating in 2005. Hopefully this will encourage more people to join in next year. :)

Overall, my first draft and can't say I'm disappointed with a 3rd place finish and only two of my characters getting the lower half (Rosetta and Ruri) and one win and a third place with Yomi and Kyon (not to mention Fate's 4th place) - I'm probably do a fanfic later as well to finalise everything but thanks again for a great draft!

Tied with Anna for 13th place.
Funny thing with this tie is one of Anna's characters ended up in 13th place on an exam that shocked the teachers at her school.
If there is one character on my team that I'm surprised did so poorly. it would be Haruka Suzumiya. I wish I would have saved her for round 10 to take advantage of the final volume of KimiNozo/Rumbling Hearts starting to show up for people to see. :D

The scoreboard was in this thread, albeit buried, so here it is (http://www.geocities.com/dunno001/AD07/board.html).
As for highs and lows, well... it's kinda tough to tell from just my end. Everyone will have their own thoughts, of course. I guess one of the lows would be that we finally had a character get 0 votes? My high would be the ending and that damn close finish! I love the drama, because in the others, it seems easy to tell who will win. Maybe the elimination of the bonuses this year did that?
