Torrance, Calif., (Oct. 04, 2006) --- XSEED Games today announced that it has obtained exclusive publishing rights for DUNGEON MAKER: HUNTING GROUND, BRAVE STORY: NEW TRAVELER and WILD ARMS® 5 for the North American market. DUNGEON MAKER: HUNTING GROUND and BRAVE STORY: NEW TRAVELER, both for the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system, are scheduled for release in July 2007 and Q3 2007, respectively. WILD ARMS® 5 for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system is scheduled for release in Q3 2007. These exciting new titles are in addition to the already announced VALHALLA KNIGHTS, which will be released on April 17, 2007 for the PSP system.

“We are extremely proud to have such a quality line-up of games in 2007,” said Jun Iwasaki, president, XSEED Games. “We believe that these games are some of the most entertaining games available on the PSP system and PlayStation 2 system, and hope that people will associate XSEED Games with quality role-playing titles.”

DUNGEON MAKER: HUNTING GROUND (for PSP system)
An original title developed specifically for the PSP system, DUNGEON MAKER: HUNTING GROUND offers addictive game play with a simulation dungeon creation element and real-time battles hunting for monsters to collect items, gold, and to fulfill requirements to complete the various quests given by townspeople.

BRAVE STORY: NEW TRAVELER (for PSP system)
An original title created specifically for the PSP system and developed by Game Republic (Genji series), BRAVE STORY: NEW TRAVELER features beautifully rendered 3D graphics, an epic tale with a host of colorful supporting characters, and a traditional turn-based battle system easy for beginners to pickup and play but with enough depth and innovative features for seasoned gamers.

WILD ARMS 5 (for PlayStation 2)
WILD ARMS 5 is the newest chapter in the popular role-playing game series by Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios JAPAN Studio and developer Media.Vision Entertainment. Celebrating the series’ 10th anniversary since its inception, WILD ARMS 5 features a brand new cast of characters in an all-new storyline along with a return of the acclaimed HEX battle system from WILD ARMS 4, strengthening its appeal to both new players as well as returning fans of the series. WILD ARMS 5 follows the journey of a group of young travelers as they try to unlock the mysteries of their ravaged land and unknowingly become involved in a struggle that will decide the fate of the entire world.

Their PSP line-up is really starting to get me interested in buying a PSP...

I recently got Wild Arms 4, and if I enjoy it, I'll definitely look forward to Wild Arms 5.

Heh for me it's not a matter of "if" as I did rather enjoy Wild Arms 4 over all. Thus my motivation to get Wild Arms 5 in the future has more or less increased. So yeah now I got something else to consider.

In even better news (for me at least), Sony have revealed they will be publishing Jeanne D'Arc in the US (http://www.siliconera.com/index.php/2007/03/21/sony-publishing-jeanne-darc-in-north-america/#more-3656).

Been waiting to see if this got a Western release since it came out in Japan but never really thought it would. Nice to be proven wrong though.

Heh I won't debate which news is better because it's subjective. However given the title of this thread the news kind of feels out of place. Still looking at the images of the game it's clear they're adding a bunch of fantasy elements to the story. It makes me wonder just how much of the story/legend will remain intact.

Considering this is a wild arms game I'm guessing this journey involves a lot of boring, philosophical conversations.

For the most part, XSeed did a great job with Wild ARMS 4, so I'm pretty happy about this news.

Though I admit, that I'm a little worried about whether or not I'll like the female leads or not...

Oh yeah, and for you Wild ARMS fans, WA5 has a lot of cameo's from the other games in the series. Basically just as random village folk, but still :) .

I absolutely adored 1 (much moreso than the original Suikoden released shortly before) and every Wild Arms game since has totally lost my interest within the first couple hours. Have they really turned philosophical? That might actually be kinda cool.

Hmm now I'm going to be getting my hopes up for specific characters. Especially Lilka because well she's Lilka and you must fear the power of an Umbrella. As for females leads, I'm personally leaning towards the red-haired girl right now.

Sweet, I wondered what XSEED has been doing since Shadow and WA4. Translations were good and games were fun; I foresee myself giving more support for these games as well.

Awesome. I'm glad to see Wild Arms 5 is getting released. Now I really should get around to picking up WA4. Maybe I'll get around to playing it by 2010. :P

One more game tempting me to get a PSP. Between this, the FFT port, and MGS:PO I think I may have enough reason to get a PSP... when the price drops.

Speaking of cameos, I watching some videos and it looks like there will be some costume changes in the game as well. Some of the costumes looking rather familiar. Heh maybe it's a good thing I'm finally working on Advanced Third. Perhaps, I'll recognize stuff from that in Fifth Vanguard. I also need to hope my memory of Alter Code F, Second Ignition, and Fourth Detonator is decent.

Oh yes apparently I learned there are more playable characters than just the initial three. So while you can only use three people at a time, you do have six to choose from. So I guess it all works out in the long run. *Goes back to the wait game*
