Is there a Venus Wars dvd?

Is there a R2 or R3 of Venus Wars. If there is, how does it compare to the R1 release.

Sadly there is not, unfortunately there are lot of movies and literally hundrends of OVA's just sitting their waiting to be remastered and rereleased.

I hope Venus Wars does get the attention it deserves, it's a good film and in desperate need of some love, the Central Park Media release had a very soft and somewhat blurry picture.

Lets hope they do the right thing and give some of these older shows a chance to find an audience again.

Actually, there was a R3 Korean release recently that is (was) on sale at koreandvds but it's out of stock now. It ways it's anamorphic but I'm not so sure.
I might get it when it's in stock and let you know.

Macross Zero has been released as well. The box costs $40 and might be legit. Not sure.

I thought koreandvds shut down. I just checked dvdheaven and the picture they have for it looks like the CPM re-release. dvdfromkorea has a listing for it too, different picture. Inexpensive but unfortunately out of stock at both places. Thanks for the heads up though. I'll have to keep an eye on it.

I think it was an LD transfer but I could be wrong in that. The DVD was released back in 98, so that should give an idea on why it looks like it does.

I hope a remastered version comes out soon (or ever.) This movie was my first "real" anime experience and thus holds a special place in my heart.
