I know we have the DS friend code thread but I think Pokemon deserves its own thread so it won't eat the other one alive. Anyway, feel free to post your friend code here. I will update this first post to include friend codes for easy access. Feel free to use this thread to request Pokemon trades and arrange battles. Later on this summer I think we should have an AoD Pokemon Battle Tourney. Just because. :D

After you get your first badge, the lower floor in the Pokemon Center opens up and you go up to one of the clerks and they give you an item called a pal pad. You use it to store friend codes yet look at your own.

I actually got my pal pad before winning my first badge. The lower floor at the PC in Oreburgh City was open when I got there, so I went down and they gave me the pal pad :sd:

Okay so I looked up this feature, and I guess we need to connect to eachother and mix records. Then you are supposed to go to that same woman and she will ask if you want to join my group.

Okay guys, my Friend Code is up now. I'm not up for battling yet really as I JUST got the second badge yesterday, but if anyone wants any Pokemon I will try to help. I plan on breeding up some starters and Phione whenever I get to the daycare center. I will also be offering just about anything (all legit, non-cloned Pokemon - all originals) once I get the National Dex/beat the game. I can also spread the Pokerus love (got lucky and caught way back in Ruby). I don't have Deoxys or any extra Manaphy though.

I just got the game today. I'm planning on getting a wireless router pretty soon so I can go online with my DS. One thing that annoys me is that you can't get all of the Pokemon without having the previous games. What a stinken' marketing strategy by Nintendo. :P If someone could help me obtain the starters and the other rare Pokemon, hacked or not, in the future, I'd really appreciate it.

If i can ever get my router working with the DS (Wii/PS3, no problem, FU DS) I've got the starts from Red & Emerald and should be able to breed them.

What's the problem? Security issue? The DS can do MAC addressing and WEP encryption, but it won't work if your router has WPA encryption on.

51300 is the error i keep getting, which seems to be a WEP issue, but we don't have WEP security turned on. Nintendo doesn't list the router (Netopia 3347NWG) under they're FAQ ethier.

just makes it really odd that the Wii & PS3 can use the single just fine.

Edit: I got it to work.. turns out my router was set to G for some reason instead of b+g

Well, guys, I'm trying really hard to get to Pal Park so I can trade lots of goodies in from my old games. I got Pokemon I want to make eggs from. I do have 7 badges so hopefully I'll be there fairly soon.

First priority to transfer in to Pal Park is looking to be the 3 Johto starters, Ditto, and Slugma (for fast egg hatching).

QFT. Super Epic failure. Not to mention all you find on there are people that want ridiculous stuff for not-that-rare pokemon. I'm not giving anyone a lvl 100 Palkia for a Munchlax.

I'm wondering how people are supposed to look for the previous generation starters when they don't appear anywhere in the game anywhere but they can't request them unless they've seen them. What stupidity.

Apparently, according to Serebii.net, you can get the GSC starters in Emerald after completing that area's Pokedex. But I dunno if that means you get all three, or have to pick one..

Only one, unfortunately. I have Emerald but the only thing I've done with it so far was to trade the starters (not the Johto ones) to my Sapphire version. I'm going to attempt to get a Cyndaquil (my original starter from the Gold version) first as soon as I'm able to do the Pal Park thing in Diamond.

Yeah, definitely. I've got Ho-Oh and Lugia only thanks to owning Colosseum and XD. I could get more by playing through the game again but that's too much effort for me. :sd: I'm not into hacking or cloning my Pokemon either. I do have a couple of extra Celebis thanks to last year's JAA but I don't know what I'd trade for them.

Speaking of which, that's why I've been wary of GTS. It'll annoy me to trade a good, legit Pokemon for something that was hacked. I wish it would let you see the stats and moveset before you traded via GTS.

Actually I just got the Johto starters in an online trade. Didn't cost me anything really just a Mothim. They guy didn't want to lvl up his Burmy himself.

Don't bother looking for you Gold cart. You can't trade between the silver/gold games and the GBA games. The only way to get the Johto starters on the current gen is from collsium or you can get ONE at the end of emerald.

Yeah, you can't go back to Gold/Silver. The only way to get Johto Pokemon is there's some in Emerald, some in FireRed/LeafGreen, and some in Colosseum/XD.

There is, but it's only used for trading to either Sapphire, Ruby or Emerald. The Gold, Silver and Crystal versions are only compatible with each other and the first generation of pokemon games, Blue, Red and Yellow, so whatever pokemon you've caught or obtained in Gold are pretty much stuck there. It's pretty much impossible anyway due to the new additions of abilities, personalities, etc., so it's not like Nintendo was necessarily being lazy or greedy. I've had my fun with those games anyway (hundreds of hours worth) and only had about a handful of pokemon over level 90 so I'm personally not all that much bothered by the incompatibility.

I did my first connection to WiFi for real when I just helped SnowfairyX evolve Haunter to Gengar. It's fairly straight forward. I'm willing to help anyone else evolve stuff or get version exclusive (provided I can get them where I'm at) Pokemon. The version doesn't matter. Between my boyfriend and I we've got both versions. Still no Pal Park yet since I haven't had time to really play since Sunday.

I should have Pal Park available soon. I just need to train my team to take out the E4. Once that happens I have a Ditto in LG that will be pumping out eggs of whatever anyone needs that I can provide. I now have an Eevee and the Johto starters plus I've caught 103 of the 150 Sinnoh pokemon.

Yup. When you go in a Poke Center you do downstairs and that's where you can do the WiFi trades, and you have to have friend codes registered to do anything. Upstairs is local wireless trading only.

After being slow about it, I've finally got the National Dex and Pal Park. I'm taking requests for wanted Pokemon. Right now I'm mostly trading pretty much anything breedable. That includes all starters and Phione. I've got pretty much everything breedable between all of my games. I do have some legendaries I am willing to trade but I want to flesh out the National Dex first.

Random stuff I'm looking for is below. You can feel free to offer me something else though.

- Any Japanese Pokemon that has a foreign dex entry but Pikachu (that would be Ekans, Psyduck, Ponyta, Staryu, Magikarp, Wobbuffet, Heracross, Sneasel, Teddiursa, Houndour, Wingull, Slakoth, and Roselia)

- Any Pokemon (even Magikarp or Bidoof) with extra Plates attached

- Any Pokemon with a Soothe Bell attached

- Palkia (would trade more than one breedable Pokemon or a legendary from a limited list. PM me)

That's all I can think of for now. Like I said, feel free to send other offers.

To give everyone an idea of what I've got, here's just a few of the rare breedable things I can trade.

- Feebas
- Johto starters (Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile)
- Hoenn starters (Treeko, Torchic, Mudkip)

- Burmy (either gender)
- Combee (male only - females are too much of a pain in the ass to breed up. Took me 2 days with many, many eggs to get 2 female eggs)

Jecca and I have been working closely with each other to build up a good trading base, so feel free to get in touch with either of us via PM.
