Just wondering if anyone has picked up this game yet? Bought my copy 2 days ago and loving it. Has a couple of Magic The Gathering elements, compare to the NGPC version.

I've been looking foward to the game for a while, despite reports that it's not as great as the originals were. Poor timing, however, has made me too addicted to Pokemon to even think about buying another DS game at this time =p

I'm thinking about buying it but have read a few negative things about it and have a few questions.
Basically I've read that, in the Japanese version, story mode involves progressing through an SNK or Capcom tower, battling progressively harder opponents. I can live with that, but I've heard that, again in the Japanese version so not sure if it's been fixed for the US release, there are points where you need to find a certain card from a NPC to progress. Any truth to this?
Also, any idea about length?

They should stop beating around the bush and create a new fighting game. It's kind of sad when the best fighting game to come from the SNK vs. Capcom collaboration was the NGPC one. That game was awesome.
CvS1 was average, CvS2 felt way too stiff, and SvC was... very Playmore. The NGPC one puts all of them to shame.
What do they think they're accomplishing by releasing card games? Seriously. As a fighting game fan, I have absolutely nothing to gain from these wastes of licensing potential.
I won't want to go "NOT SO FAST, KAIBA!" with Ryu.

They're catering to the Japanese market first and foremost where card based games do well both in the arcade and on consoles/handhelds. I don't have the sales figures on hand, but I imagine sales of the DS game were quite high in Japan compared with the trickle it will sell in the US (and Europe if it's ever released here).
