View Full Version : Only Yesterday: R3 or R2?
Okay... so which DVD should I go with?
I'm over at yesasia right now and I have to decide between the HK version and the Japanese version...
Leaning towards the HK version since it's cheaper (and... I think it comes with another disc?)
...
Yeah, I need a FAST response for this...
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Oh, how are the subs on the R3 release?
So... uhh... no one has this?
In any case, I'm probably gonna go with the R3 version (since I wanna get the Monster anime OST... it has like several versions of Kuniaki Haishima's "Grain")
I'll talk about it when I get the DVD (so people will be able to know more about the R3 version...)

Sorry, dude, I rented Only Yesterday and almost fell asleep; so I haven't purchased either the R2 or the R3.

I only have the R2, so I couldn't do a comparison.

Cool; I'm in the same boat as Dave - JP R2 only...

I have the R3TW version, so I can't provide any helpful info about R3HK (which uses PAL instead of NTSC). The R3TW version licensed and released by Buena Vista Home Entertainment (Taiwan) before it dissolved (not sure if it merged with Buena Vista Interactive or, as some rumor says, moved its operation center to Shanghai) has two audio channels (Japanese and Chinese Mandarin) plus four subtitles (Japanese, English, Chinese Mandarin subtitle corresponding original Japanese dialog, and Chinese Mandarin subtitle corresponding Chinese Mandarin audio channel i.e. dubtitle). More at Naudicaa.net (http://www.nausicaa.net/miyazaki/video/opp/) .
That's weird... the version I'm looking at:

Says that it's NTSC...
