In the past there were two types of MMORPGs:
MMORPGs with great presentation that requires payment. (World of Warcraft, Everquest, Phantasy Star Universe, Guild Wars).
MMORPG with low presentation that is free (Runescape, Gunbound)
Rappelz is a MMORPG that is similar to Guild Wars but it's free to download and there is no monthly subscription fee.
After 15 minutes of playing I have following impressions:
Pros:
- It's Free!
- The interaction is easy - most functions are preformed with the left/right mouse buttons.
- Excellent graphics and music
- Beautiful character models
Cons:
- Lacks WASD keyboard movement
- GUI needs more development (Need better description)
- Character customization is lacking
Rappelz is no World of Warcraft killer, but it may overtake Guild Wars.
