Since there isn't a discussion thread i thought i would start one. This will be for episode 15 and on but discussion of past episodes is more than welcome.

Well episode 15 is here and a pretty good one it was. We see an end to the Gai-Kisame fight though it required Gai to open six gates to even the playing field. I loved the running gag of Gai being unable to remember where he knew Kisame from, even with the flashback to the previous episode where they fought.

Meanwhile Naruto is trying to dispel Itachi's Genjutsu but to no avail, and is starting to have massive hallucinations. He ses his skin begin to peel way with Sasuke replaceing the empt space, so he's half himself, half Sasuke. He seems Sakuras head emerg from his stomach, Kakashi's head grow out of his arma dn Garra's eye in his hand. All of these images are taunintg him. Sasuke tells him he should have kille dhim when they fought, and we have a flashback to thier fight, Sakura says she belived in him, that he would bring abck Sasuke. Kikashi tells him that he's disappointed and Garra asks why he was the only one who was loved? WE then have a flashback to his training with Jiraiya. We learned in the previous episode that the way to disple a Genjutsu was to stop the flow of chakra to the brain and if that dosen't work, your pretty much screwed unless one of your teammates can infuse thier chakra into you. That's what Sakura nd Chiyo end up doing to finally dispel it. The rest of the fight consists of Kakshi Naruto and Itachi using a mix of attacks and Shadow Clones.

One interesting moment was when Kakashi used the same strategy that Naruto used to defeat Neji in the Chunnin Exam. He dug a hole when Itachi threw one of his fireballs at hima nd burst threw the ground but Itachi was able to dodge because of his Sharingain. In the end Naruto finishes him off with his new improved Rasengan but it wasn't even Itachi it was Yurra, the mind controled Sand-nin. They used a Shapeshifting jutsu, him and Kisame both.

One comment I need to say: it's spelled "Neji", not "Negi" (there's no "soft G" sound in Japan).

Best way to remember the correct spelling:

Neji: Young ninja with a mousy bluenette as a cousin.
Negi: Young wizard with a mousy bluenette as a Ministra Magi.

LOL. I was actually in a bit of a rush to finish that up and wanted to get it done before i had to start mowing the lawn so that one missed my editing. I like your analogy though. :)

There actually is a discussion thread (http://www.animeondvd.com/forum/showtopic.php?tid/17468/post/370738/hl/shippuuden/#370738) already. :)

I started out liking Shippuuden, but that was before I realized how ridiculously slow they were going to advance everything. They're taking drawing things out to new extremes...

And really, they haven't managed to interest me in a single fight. The Gaara fight was terrible, and while I had hope for Kisame/Gai and Itachi/Kakashi+Naruto, I wasn't feeling these fights, either. And with the way they're stretching things out, the next one is going to be brutal. Honestly, it's like I'm watching this show out of nothing more than habit any more. I'm pretty close to just dropping it and sticking with the manga.
