Hi guys how's it going?

I am curious about the Naruto DVDs released in Japan so far:

1)What is the current format of releases for Naruto in Japan? In other words, are there single dvds? Boxsets? or a combination of both?

2)How many episodes are actually out at this time?

3)When are the next batch of eps due and how often are they released?

4)Do any of you own any of the R2 Naruto dvds? If so, can you give me your impressions of them? I mean, how's the picture quality, sound quality, episode count per dvds etc compared to the R1 NTSC box sets?

5)Can you tell me if the following auctions are official R2 Japanese releases or not?

Thanks in advance :)

Auctions are bootlegs. "Sun*****" is a known bootleg seller.

Naruto R2s are only available as single discs. Volume 1 contains episode 1 where the next volumes have 3 episodes per disc.

There are no R2 Naruto boxsets; there are around 60 singles. The last volume released was Naruto Stage 5 disc 10. The first volume of Shippuden is out soon.

Hmm, you say "60 Singles" but then you go on to say the last volume is "disc 10". Which is it? Are you saying there are 60 indivisual dvds out with 3 eps per disc(sans the first single)? And the 60th dvd single simply called "Disc 10". I'm confused.

Also, with 60 dvds at 3 eps/disc does that mean the max amount of eps available is around 180?

How is this possible, when the boots I posted contains up to 220 eps?

The Naruto R2 DVD release is divided into "stages" of varying disc lengths. So when Stage 1 Volume X is over, the next volume isn't volume 12/13/14/15/etc, it's "Stage 2: Volume 1"

If you want to see how the exact volume episode breakdown works, search for naruto on cdjapan.co.jp.

How do bootleggers release stuff before the R2 release? Easy, they release bootlegged recordings of the TV broadcast instead of ripping DVDs which do not yet exist. Most bootlegs of current TV series are sat TV captures, not DVD rips.
