I remember Eatman from many moons ago, but it looks like Yoshitomi is coming back to TV. animeOnline and ANN have this up, so lets go with ANN:

The July issue of Monthly Champion Red (on sale June 19) announced that Blue Drop, the post-alien-apocalyptic manga from Eatman and Ray creator Akihito Yoshitomi, will be animated by BeSTACK and Ashi Productions for a Fall 2007 broadcast. Yukikaze director Masahiko Ohkura will direct and script an original story (under the name Blue Drop: The Drama of Angels or Tenshi-tachi no Gigyoku) that takes place several years before the current Blue Drop: We Angels (Tenshi no Bokura) manga arc. Gonzo will model the 3D animation.

Yoshitomi also did Ray, which got an anime.

So, out of Yoshitomi's creations, 3 of them have animes, 1 of whcih got 2 shows.

Yoshitomi mangas:*=anime adaptation
Loan Knight 1 & 2
Eat-Man**
Ray*
Gate Runners
Companion
Blue Drop & Blue Drop: Tenshi no Bokura*

Not bad I must say. Most creators only get one or two of their mangas animated, but three...

This is pretty interesting. I'm curious about how the cast will pan out - mostly because I'd like some familiar names rather than a group of relative unknowns.

And with GONZO having a hand in it, there's a bigger chance that it'll get an R1 license sooner/onto my shelf. :)
