What would be a great "Limited/Special Edition" for "anime X"...

I think a cool Limited/Special Edition release would be BALDR FORCE EXE Resolution w/ BALDR FORCE EXE (either for PS2, Dreamcast, or even two limited editions so people could choose which system they want it for). Kind of like the Special Edition Phantom the Animation that comes with the Phantom Visual Novel game.

Of course, whether BALDR FORCE EXE Resolution would ever get liscenced is another thing entirely.

...which are the "box" for the DVD case(s). :> That the replica would have to be, oh, two-and-a-half feet tall or so in Battroid mode would merely be a bonus. :D

Bandai Visual Japan has announced that Macross Plus and Macross 7 seasons one and two are being joined in a holy union as a remastered high-definition box set. Note that it's a DVD box set, and not one of the next-gen formats, so no new hardware necessary…unless, of course, you don't live in Japan and don't yet have a region-free DVD player.

The sets don't come cheap, however. The four-episode Macross Plus OVA costs ¥15,540 - about $129 USD. Each season of Macross 7 costs a whopping ¥39,900 - $333 USD! So next time you think about complaining about how expensive it is to be an anime fan in the U.S., be reminded of this.
