ok so been watching bleach on adult swim, and much like trinity blood. It seems not to answer what I consider basic questions about the world. Something I find annoying but that many anime seem to do. Assuming I missed it though here are my questions.
1. So you do you go to the soul society, ok but what then happens when you die in the soul society?
2. How is the soul society divided up into regions and why are the regions so different, anything to do with your life making which region you end up in?
3. What exactly was rukias crime that they want to kill her for? Surly not giving her powers to Echigo so he could kill a hollow?
4. When a hollow is killed are the human souls it eats released or are they gone forever?
Then questions from Trinity Blood.
1. How did the vampires form, how did the world end up in the strange way it was portrayed?
2. Who in the heck was the second being that lived off the blood of vampires and why did he have a name reminiscent of Cain and Abel?
3. Does the manga continue the fight between them (though I think the "novel" was unfinished when the author died)

this is what i think... could be wrong.
1. its a 2 way street to maintain balance... you die your a spirit and go to soul society or hell... your a spirit and die in soul society and you get reborn in earth... rinse and repeat.
2. not sure what you mean here... soul society is the town where the normal spirits live... the village area i guess. the castle area is where the soul repearers reside in.
3. that is basically it.
4. i think they are gone forever... its food. well maybe they crap it out then.

1. They are infected with an alien bacterium discovered on Mars
2. Cain, Abel, Seth (and Lillith) were humans genetically engineered for the Mars colonization project. They are the only ones compatible with a superior version of the bacterium.
3. As I understand it the author's friend is continuing to write the novels.

On Bleach
1. I don't think this has been clearly explained, at least not in the anime. I think reincarnation is implied, but I don't think anything has actually been said about it.
2. I assume you mean the area where the 'normal' souls live outside of the Soul Reaper/Shinigami area. This also hasn't really been explained. It seems that which district a soul goes to is based simply on where there is room. Maybe. It may just be chosen at random or on a rotation based on the when you get there. As I said before, I don't think its been explained.
3. It is a felony for a Soul Reaper to give their power to a human and it is punishable by death. And the name is Ichigo.
4. I'm not sure if this has been explained or not. I would guess they just cease to exist after being eaten.

When you die in the Soul Society, you're sent back to this plane of existence. The Shinigami/Reapers are charged with keeping balance between the two worlds. I assume that the Soul Society is meant to be the place souls go to wait for rebirth/reincarnation back into this world (this is why people in the Soul Society remember their Earthly existence but not the other way around).
2. How is the soul society divided up into regions and why are the regions so different, anything to do with your life making which region you end up in?
This hasn't been explained, however, there seems to be a large class divide between the Shinigami and their region and the other regions occupied by those without Shinigami powers.

I think the eaten soul becomes a hollow. This happened in one of the early episodes.

My theory is that the district you go to is affected by the karma you've built up incarnation after incarnation. The worse state your karma is in, the worse the district you end up in. That may be why people have trouble finding their loved ones.

Thanks for all the posts, I guess I'm expecting to much from what is basicly a fighting anime....
If they do just dissapear and are taken out of the reincarnation system then I'm with the quincies...
Man so it would have been better for her to let the soul reaper live and eat many more souls than for her to do what she could do to stop it...thats *&^* up.
