Was Combustible Campus Guardress ever released on VHS in the US, or DVD in Japan?
I can't find any entry for a disc release apart from J-LD anywhere through googling. Seen an old fansub of ep.1 & I'd definitely like to own the show somehow.
Seems strange this title was missed in the old days when action OVAs were the main licensing trend.

No, never been brought over. Shame.
If it was, I would have gotten it, since it's such as great OVA...
Yup great show, doesn't exist on anything :/

I've never heard of this one before. What's it about, may I ask?

4 part OVA about a brother & sisters fighting back demons from a portal that has been opened, while trying to pass exams.
See ANN.

It's co-created by Satoru Akahori, co-creator of Sorcerer Hunters abnd Saber Marionette J, and Kazushi Hagiwara, creator of Bastard!!
It's the perfect mix; Hagiwara's kick-ass action with Akahori's excellent comedy.

It has arguably the most memorable female nosebleed scene in anime.

The fansub VHS i saw seems to be recorded from an LD . I can't be sure 100% but the quality looks a bit better than your typical VHS one.
Surly i wouldn't mind an R2 release for it :) i wouldn't hold my breath for an R1 though :sd:

I'd love, LOVE to replace my VHS fansub with an R1 DVD. I typed "love", right? Hell, I'm about to record the VHS to DVD-R, just to be on the safe side. Of course, by the time someone decides to give a damn about Campus Guardress, the DVD-R will have rotted away. :(
Great show lent my VHS fansub to someone and they never gave it back :( I love to see this on R1... If Five STar Stories can come to R1 Combutible Campus Guardess can!

I made a set of DVD-Rs using the LDs and available online scripts and they came out decent but not OMGWOW. Despite being CAV, the LDs were surprisingly noisy, plus it's a hard matted widescreen. R2s would sure be nice...I wouldn't hold my breath for R1, though.
