Which next anime would you want to see licensed from the new Anime Iowa anime convention?
* At the end of the anime denotes a possibility
Personally. I'm voting for Romeo X Juliet, Heroic Age and The Skull Man
Having really enjoyed Shana so far, I very much want the second season and all other remaining materials for that show. I might not have had a second vote, but Fudce and his Food Girl avatars have convinced me that I want to see Hayate. I don't know whether to give him an Internet or a kick in the nuts.
The Girl who Leapt Through Time.
Or...
A Girl who Runs Through Time.
Whichever name they decided to go with.
I still wanna see Gigantic Formula get picked up.

We have a winner!
That said, I'm also holding out hope that Pale Cocoon and Mind Game will get picked up. They're the two most grossly underappreciated anime that I know, and I'd love to see them get some love over here. I'd definitely buy them even though I already own the R2 DVDs with English subtitles.
I'd probably squeal like a little girl on the spot if I found out that Mononoke and/or Denno Coil were licensed (BY SOMEONE OTHER THAN "THEM").
There's a few more, but those five are definitely at the top of my list.

I'd like to see Pale Cocoon, Mononoke, Denno Coil, and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time get licensed myself...but does anyone really think that something might get licensed at Anime Iowa? :P I'd gladly admit my mistake if something does happen, but I just don't really see any announcements coming from Anime Iowa, which is still a fairly minor con.

My top two: Claymore and Romeo X Juliet

The lack of Mind Game disappoints me.
While it wouldn't be anywhere near the explosive amount of licenses from the larger cons as of late, I don't think a couple or so would be asking for too much... right?

I've just never seen anything licensed from AnimeIowa before.
I don't really see Mind Game coming over anytime soon...
But the weird thing is that Michael Arias' film is coming over (can't remember how to spell it), through Sony, and I'm thinking...
How'd this happen again?
Oh...
And I really need to finish Kemonozume...

I've decided to go with Sola and Lucky*Star. Also I think the titles in the last choice are trying to cheat by banding together. :P

I saw it listed as A Girl Who Runs Through Time on ANN. I guess that's the official name for the manga (which going by ANN is licensed)?
Ah well, whatever it's called, I definitely want that (probably one of the more likely prospects among my most wanted).
Like others, though, I'm doubting anything will be announced at Anime Iowa.

Who is holding panels there?

I don't recall ever hearing of this con before. Assuming they license anything at all, I doubt they will license anything high profile.

AnimeIowa has been around since 1997, so this will be their 11th year running.
As for industry panels, I'm not sure if they will have any this year as I am having difficulty downloading their schedule. So I'll play it safe and say that there will be no licensing announcements at this convention.

Actually for some people that may be a good thing. As they may want the low profile titles more. Then again based on the whole "nothing gets licensed at Anime Iowa" talk. It's probably a moot point unless some company has randomly decided they'll announce something there this year.

Shouldn't get my hopes up, but it would be nice if Hayate and Shana season two got picked up by...someone.

Yeah, I know its been around, and I think I may have seen it mentioned now and then, but I don't think I've ever heard of anything other than that its there. What kind of licenses have been announced there in the past? Any at all?

Despite it apparently being around for 10 years, I've never heard of Anime Iowa before.
I won't give my hopes up for any new licenses but it would be nice if Re: Cutie Honey, Soukou No Strain, or Magical Pokan were revealed. (I probably sound like a broken record by now... :P )

Despite my urge to hate the Shana series, I want more of it. I guess there is a thin line between love and hate. I'd love to see Lucky Star too if it can make it. That's what I voted for.

I just downloaded their programming guide and their schedule shows no industry panels from any of the licensing studios. RightStuf mentions AnimeIowa on their front page so maybe they'll have a panel.
