With blizzcon come and gone it seems that we are going to get another WoW expansion, and from the looks of it relatively quickly with the rumor being end of Jan 08, a year to the date of BC. Is anyone excited about all the new stuff and will Frostmourne being a orange drop?

I got excited for about 5 minutes, and then I started to think about my life on WOW, and decided to start dialing back my enthusiasm. Nothing against the game or anyone who plays it... sorta wish I was in a position to keep playing it.

I'm excited about it, but then again, not really excited about it.

Before BC was released, it was pretty easy to get into a guild. There wasn't much to do in terms of keying requirements. Go through BRD for MC. Quick quest line for Onyxia and BWL. Nothing for AQ, and Naxx was just gold.

My guild died after BC released, and I still haven't found a new one because of the keying requirements. There's a lengthy chain for Kara, and to get your Heroic keys requires running dungeons multiple times. Even though my two 70 characters are a Warrior and Druid, I'm still finding it hard to get these keying requirements taken care of. And since most guilds require Kara and Heroic keys, well, I'm stuck. I see the situation only getting worse with WotLK.

I could always PvP, but I'm playing mostly for the story...such that it is. I'll most likely get the next expansion, but I'll be excited about going through the new quests, zones, and the smaller dungeons. While being upset that I can't get into the larger dungeons.

I'll probably pick it up for another month of play. I do want to check out Northrend and continue the story, but since I was only 44 when I stopped playing I'd probably enjoy the expansion more if it was for Warcraft III than WoW...

Hopefully there will be a good mix of mid-high level stuff as well and not just mostly 70-80 content.

I'll probably be buying the RotLK expansion up at some point too. It's not a priority since my highest lvl toon is a 61 hunter and the expansion content doesn't interest me that much (most of it seems geared towards hardcore players). If there's an LE for RotLK, then that might boost the priority. Then again, Burning Crusade LEs are still floating around stores.

I've been playing a draenei shaman for the past couple months. I enjoy playing a hunter more since I love pets, but shamans are still quite fun. I also still haven't played half of the other classes (rogue, priest, druid, paladin). :sweatdrop:
