Um... all of them?
This was my first video game system. w00t.
The 7800 port of Commando was excellent. It was one of the few times the system really showed off its power. It really trumped the NES in graphics prowess. You could have some two dozen enemies on the screen, and there wasn't a bit of flicker. Loads of secret dungeon areas where you rescued hostages and ran to avoid giant spiders were great additions, too.
Food Fight for the 7800 is also an excellent game. I think the arcade version had a Robotron-style dual joystick control setup. That was lost in translation, but the game's still fun as hell. Play well enough, and the game will give you an instant replay of your performance in slow motion!
I was gonna say Kangaroo, but.. I think the Atari I had was a 2600. Does that still count?
The main character was a momma kangaroo whose joey was stolen by monkeys. So you had to climb to the top of each level, Donkey Kong style, while collecting fruit, punching monkeys, and ringing bells.
Way before we got the home version, I used to play Kangaroo in the arcade all the time... I must've been around 6 or 7 years old. Sometimes my mother would try to play, and she'd fall off the first step of the first level (about two pixels off the ground) and die (any fall meant insta-KO). It made me laugh sooo much.. Looking back, she probably did it on purpose to amuse me. :D :sweatdrop:

Being that the 7800 can play 2600 cartridges and games, no reason why not. :D
I had a 2600, but never got the 7800. I remember when one store chain (it might have been Fry's Electronics), had a bundle with a new 7800 plus 50 games for around a hundred bucks. I had a friend check his local store, and they were already gone. This was in the mid to late 90s, long after the system had it's heydey (if it even had one).
Speaking of the 2600, I remember being awed by the adaptation of Ms. Pac Man on it. Four mazes! It was the closest thing I played to the arcade version until I got an Atari 800XL computer.
I think my fav on the 2600 was either the port of Phoenix, or Activision's Spider Fighter.
I think the most impressive was Pitfall II, that stretched the 2600's capabilities to the maximum and then some (I believe they added memory to the cartridge itself to make it happen).

*love*
hah, I had to post because Kangaroo was awesome. Especially the boingy-boingy bouncing mama music. :D :D
But really, is anyone actually you know, collecting Atari 7800 games to look for obscurities though? :sd: What's really sad is that my old 2600 actually still works and at last check, about 25-30 of my games still did too, but I no longer have a TV that I'm able to hook my Atari up to. I'd definitely play out of nostalgia every now and again if I could. :sd:

HEY! What about the 5200?! I had a pretty good time on that machine, despite the less then stellar controllers. My favorite was Qix. I am a bit fuzzy, but a couple others like Pengo and burger Chef also were a lot of fun on that console. OH! I think it was called Star Command or something, that type of game where you played a Cruiser and went to sectors on a grid to destroy enemy fighters and save bases....5200 did alright with that one.

I've never played a 5200, but that Angry Video Game Nerd video didn't exactly make me rush to ebay.
I managed an XBOX 1, and so far, I can manage a PS3, as large and heavy as that monstrosity is. I'm not sure I could handle the behometh that is the Atari 5200.

Star Raiders.
They even came out with it for the 2600, and it was supplied with a special controller so you could input all the commands needed to play.
