Whenever I read about the UK video game sales charts on Kotaku, they never have anything good to say about UK gamers.

Their most common complaint is that UK gamers only buy movie based games and yearly sport game updates.

Do you think Kotaku need to give UK gamers a break

Given the sales charts tend back up exactly what they are saying, I don't see a problem with it.

I have to say, Kotaku are right to moan at us Brits. Too many people buy nothing but crap cash-in games, and completely ignore the actually good games.

I just view the comments as harmless jabs, and then laugh every time I see an american chart with the latest Madden game glued to the top.

It's the same with Eurogamer, it's a European games news site, but because it's grown so big, they always seem to get people moaning that they list things in £ or €, rather than in $.

The problem lies with both the publishers and the gamers. Companies aren't going to pour the money into releasing titles they deem unprofitable, and gamers can't buy the titles if no one is going to risk releasing them. It's a whole catch 22 situation.

Generally, they do. It's a tabloid gaming news site. Ignore it or move onto somewhere a bit less sensationalist.
