When My-Otome first premiered, I thought it was garbage. They totally ruined everything that made Mai-Hime fantastic, and put an annoying character with a terrible actress into the main role. Well, I've been in the mood recently to give it another shot, so I picked up the first volume yesterday, and I must say, after watching it dubbed, this series is actually quite enjoyable. There are still a few things that irk me, but overall, I think I'm going to like this series afterall. Oh yeah, and Shizuru just sounds down right creepier in the dub than she did in Japanese, and with her being my favorite HiME in the first series, that is great.
Lastly, any word on when that HiME movie is coming out?

It really does help to actually watch shows before bashing them.

I did watch it when it first aired, but I could only stand 3 episodes of it.
Shizuru isn't supposed to sound creepy, she sounds sly, cunning, and seducing all at the same time. It's supposed to send those little shivers down your spine, but not creep you out.
