So what is the best place to rent anime online? I am considering netflix since I can get movies there as well if I ever want any but I am afraid they may not always have the best anime selection. Is there anywhere that is better? Who do you all use? Thanks!

Netflix has pretty good selection...that's where I get my stuff from.
Back a few years ago they had a limited selection so I left but when I came back, they pretty much had every anime release out there.
Occasionally they will miss a few but I'm pretty satisfied with them.

After a three month trial period, I recently signed up for a year with Anime Lane. Here's a fairly recent thread from the Retail forum with a couple comments about their service (http://www.animeondvd.com/forum/showtopic.php?tid/22350/).

Hands down, Netflix. It really has a fantastic selection at an unbeatable price. REALLY fast turnaround, and sometimes leaks DVDs before the release dates... which is always a nice bonus. I love Netflix! Saves me a ton of money on the "trial-and-error" process of testing new series.

I do almost all of my R1 anime watching using Greencine (www.greencine.com) since I essentially watched through everything interesting Netflix had when I was signed up with them initially- but was some 5 years, and I've heard that Netflix now has a lot more anime than they did when I was a member.
Greencine has a very extensive anime selection and I'm quite happy with them- but with only one 'hub' out in California, turnaround time is a good bit longer than it would likely be for you using Netflix (I regularly would drop a disc in the mail back to them and have a new one 2-3 days later, it's about a week or so turnaround for Greencine).

I have been using Netflix for many years now and quite honestly, I am becoming more and more frustrated with their service. There are some good point to them for sure, but there is one thing in particular that is really bothering me about them... With several anime titles, especially newer ones, there are many times when they will have all of the volumes except for one. For example, in a 6 volume series, they might have all of them except for volume 4. This is really annoying if you want to see the whole series of course. I contact them about stuff like this all the time. It usually takes them months and months to fix these sort of things, if the problem is even addressed at all.
A good example... they still don't have Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny vol. 9, even though they have 1-8 and 10. Vol. 9 was released a very long time ago and I have contacted them multiple times about this and still nothing has been done.
So, yeah... I find this kinda frustrating at times with Netflix. Otherwise, they have been good to me.

There have been many examples of Netflix doing this (I remember Godannar 7, Otogi Zoshi 6, Paniponi 4, and Black Cat 1 coming up in a previous thread (and someone's sig), but all of these titles have since been made available... So they're at least paying attention.

Any opinions about RentAnime (http://www.rentanime.com/default.php)? What about other sites/stores?

I like the 9.95 price very much even for one at a time and they also have hentai....
