"Finally! The Final Fight of Finality! This Time We Mean It!"
Cartoon Network is airing the 76th & final ep. of Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo this weekend.
(I actually can type the title correctly without looking :D )
Anyone been watching?
Can't say that I've seen all 76 eps., but I've seen plenty (thanks to my son). Not really my taste in comedy, but I have to admit there were some clever bits (& re-versioned jokes) and some groaners.

I'll be watching, though I kinda lost interest with this last batch of eps, must've been the hiatus. It has been an...interesting ride.

You can tell I'm a Bo fan in this pic:

However, I must say, that after I moved in April 2006, I lost track of Bo and have only caught a few episodes here and there. I'd buy the DVDs, but they ****ed them up big time.

Now that Bobobo is over, what will take it's place next week?
Another Naruto episode! Next week is a double-episode of Naruto.
So, I wonder what will take Bobobo's place? But still, I'm kind of amazed that Bobobo actually was fully aired on Toonami. The ratings must have been just good enough to keep it there.

I thought Naruto already had 3 episodes every week, 9-10:30pm (CO time).

Zatch Bell, hopefully. Wasn't it supposed to resume last month?
Too bad Bo^7 went out the same way Rave Master did. I was hoping for a big finish, but all we got was a cop out of a last episode. What a drag.
At least we got to see DenBo one last time. She was so cute!
And how did they mess up the DVD releases?

Read the review...
http://www.animeondvd.com/reviews2/disc_reviews/6020.php
They have a form on their web site to order a fixed copy (on DVD-R) but kept selling the buggered version in stores.
They only released the first two discs (vol. 2 was 05/01/2007) even though they had dates upto volume 8. I think it's dead...

Actually, I think that ending was intentional seeing as how 98% of the anime series out there are cop outs. If you aren't sure what I mean, watch Evangelion, RahXephon, Big O, Darker than Black, Trinity Blood, Witch Hunter Robin, Gilgamesh, etc.
As for the DVDs, they have dubtitles, bad video quality (which the VAs mentioned at NDK last month), and there are still edits made.

Apparently, Bobobo got canceled due to the Japanese PTA complaining that the show was to violent for the time slot it was on.
Weird, huh?
And about the DVDs, Illumitoon is pretty much dead right now in terms of DVDs, since they lost their distributor. All they seem to be doing now is dubbing B't X and AMDriver due to them being aired on the Anime Network right now.

What? That's bullshit! It's like a crazier Looney Tunes, and I was watching those cartoons on timeslots all over the place.
And the DVD problems are upsetting. The fact that it got dropped off in DVD releases like Rave Master did is especially disappointing.

So maybe CN is filling in Bo-bobo's slot with a second new Naruto ep. every week... Would be a nice way to slowly catch up. :D
