Capcom and Sony has just announced that a Biohazard (Resident Evil around these parts) CG motion picture is in production. It's gonna be called "Biohazard: Degenerations."
Here is the source for anyone who can read Japanese:
It's been mentioned now by Anime News Network (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2007-10-29/biohazard-resident-evil-cg-anime-film-announced).

As long as it has nothing to do with Alice and company of the Hollywood movies, it might be good. I'd like to see them do something that actually adds to the storyline of the games instead of being something standalone or anything like that.
Biohazard: The Taco Bell Story
On a more serious note, blaaaaaaaah. I wasn't a huge fan of Appleseed and wish they had just went the DMC series route.
The Alaskan Assassin

Google translator is my friend.
This time, Capcom Co., the Japanese arm of SPE and SPEJ hand to integrate the innovative computer-generated images in the original version of the story, the birth of Resident Evil.
So it appears they will be using the original storyline, none of that silly alice stuff. we can hope on that until someone with real japanese skills translates the sucker.
I was all for the movie until they said "original story". They should make a movie that spans the entire Raccoon City storyline- kinda like what Umbrella Chronicles is attempting to do.
