Patlabor WXII Blu-ray- anyone seen it?

I saw this on the shelf here today in Japan (checked and it has English subs!) Just wondering if anyone had seen it, and how it compares to some of the other Bandai Blu-rays lately. I was really disappointed to hear about GITS, so I don't want to run out and buy a poor version for an upgrade.

It's in my to-watch pile. Sadly this week has been insane and I haven't had a chance to spend quality time at night with it. :( It's like all the events for my family piled onto one week.

I saw your post over on blu-ray.com. Guess you've seen it? Sounds like it might've been good from your comments. Speaking of which, where did I miss the whole "lowest common denominator" discussion about anime dvds? That's something I never heard before, but might explain Funimation's DVD quality. Still, odd, I would've thought anime fans have more cash and therefore demand better quality...

Anyway, looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the disc.

but yeah, finished out the disc last night and was pretty plesed. Should have a review early this coming week.
