For those who watch videos on YouTube of people reviewing video games and generally get very angry at them, one of them has been getting a lot of controversy recently

I'm talking about The Irate Gamer, a lot of people just hate this guy over the fact that he seems to steal a lot of ideas directly from the Angry Video Game Nerd

What are your thoughts on this?

Stealing his idea's is not the real problem. He lacks his own style. He is lacking execution. I've only saw one video, the Ghost and Goblins one, and he seems to fail badly at his delivery. His video feels lifeless (IMO).

One thing I don't understand is why people give him so much attention. I have a friend who says that he doesn't like the irate gamer, yet he claimed he has watched every video. Doing so only gives him more popularity. If you don't really like him, don't watch his badly done parodies. <.<

Internet popularity is pretty worthless so I wouldn't get angry

People like the Irate Gamer are just there to attempt to get their own 5 minutes of fame. It really isn't worth paying too much attention to them other than to potentially get a laugh from. If you don't find the guy funny, don't watch his videos. Simple as that.
