I was browsing around Moonphase as usual and came across this (http://www.cho-animelo.com/candyboy) . The designs looked interesting and I noticed AIC at the bottom, so I went to check the usual places and no one has any information on it. It does mention that it'll be a movie, so I'm not sure if it was just announced. Usually I'd mention it or Andrew would be on top of it, but there seems to be nothing about it.

The designs remind me of the recent Kimikiss TV series, but thats about it.

Clicking on the supposed trailer button is the first thing I did as well. All the text says is AIC and who worked on the designs at the bottom.

The Cho! animelo audiovisual website and the Nico Nico Douga online video service have started streaming a free eight-minute episode of the Candy Boy "romantic school comedy" on November 22. The short story revolves around Kanade and Yukino Sakurai, twin sisters in their second year in a Tokyo high school in the fall of 2007, and a freshman girl, the super-rich Sakuya Kamiyama.

Happy Lesson director Takafumi Hoshikawa and character designer Tatari Habe worked with AIC on this project. Hitomi Nabatame (School Rumble's Mikoto, Maburaho's Yuuna) and Ryoka Yuzuki (Chobits' Takako, Air's Minagi) star as the twins, and Emiri Katou (Lucky Star's Kagami, Demashitaa! Powerpuff Girls Z's Momoko/Hyper Blossom) plays Sakuya.

This was even more interesting...
The anime staff are planning Candy Boy as the first "Anime 2.0" project, in which a music CD is bundled with an original video animation DVD. The Candy Boy anime episode will sell with a CD single of its theme song and "My Sweet Darlin'," both of which are sung by 18-year-old Korean artist Meilin.

It's shoujo-ai show between two sisters (at least I think they are sisters). There's a third girl that's in love with the one girl, but these "sisters" are tight. :blush: :beat:

Original Network Animation — referring to the distribution medium being a network (such as the Internet) instead of a physical medium. I seem to recall that Gonzo's i wish you were here ~ was the first anime put out as ONA, or at least a very early example of it. Contrast with Original Video Animation, which usually is distributed on, er, video. :nervous: DVD these days, but it is what it is.

Now that I got a full understanding of the episode, I have one thing to say. AIC, for the love of our yuri goddess, make a full, TV length (or even a longer OVA) series out of this! This has possibly one of the best potential of a shoujo-ai plot on an anime series in a very, VERY long time!

First I watched it online and although I don't catch much, the basic of the story really grabbed me and now that I saw it subbed I can only say: please, make it a 12 episodes series or even a 6 ova series would be excellent :blush:

I'm sure if it sells well enough they'll kick it into a full length production. I simply see the "ONA" as a way to judge whats popular enough for them to make a series out of it.

I do admit with the OVA that the sisters probably have not gone beyond just sleeping together, But it seems Yuki is ready for it but there is still resistance from Kana!

Somehow I never got around to watching the original ONA. Just watched it and episode 1, and Kanade is AWESOME.

Yuki's pretty cool, but she's pretty much there to bounce Kanade's personality off of, same with Saku.

Interestingly enough, this episode is set during the Christmas season. Basically, Yukino and Kanade wanted to buy Christmas gifts for each other, but they realized that if each of the go off on their own, they would end buying worthless crap for themselves. So Kanade decided that they should buy their gifts together. They came across a pair of earrings which has their birthstone on it. They were unfortunately expensive so Kanade used up their flight tickets money to buy it; they need those tickets to go back to visit their parents.

At the park Kanade admits towards Yukino that she wanted matching gifts as they used when they're kids. Yukino didn't want that because she wanted to be different. They then put their earrings on each other's ear in which Yukino ended up nibbling on her sister's ear! :blush1:

And as for Sakuya, her dad is building a new dorm building which in her mind ended being a "dream house" for Kanade. And also, she gave them as a gift three airline tickets. Looks like she's coming along! :laugh:

Man, those two are obviously lovers especially that event in the park and this!

I haven't been able to watch this series that much('cause it takes too long to produce each 15 minute episode) but I have been following it.

Whoa, this series is not only getting alot more yuri, it's also getting more racier! These sisters Kana and Yuki are really into each other and that girl Saku acts like SHE's got dibs on Kana-chan!

That shojo-kitsune dream was kinda of creepy but still cute!

It seems like people are really creeped out by the twincest that's very rampant!

I'm sure more people are following the series, it's just that episodes take so long to come out that it's not exactly on the top of everyone's mind.

That said, as far as yuri goes, you can't really beat this series and this episode was no exception. Kanade's finger sucking scene... you can't get any more suggestive than that. I loved her initial shyness and looking over her shoulders first to see that nobody else was watching.
