-Cowboy Bebop
-5cm Per Second
-The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
-Mushishi
-Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo
-Death Note
-The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
-or Kanon 2006

Well, Haruhi is my favorite show, so it would get my vote.
But why these shows in particular?
Edit: Ohhh. You're that dude who asked for number ratings for a million shows. Nevermind :sd:

Out of these, I would say The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is close, though I've only seen it once (haven't had a chance to assess its rewatch value).

Kanon 2006
Screw those shows, go buy MD Geist and Eiken, that'll make you love anime instantly!

Based on those choices if I must choose one then I'd have to go with Uguu err I mean Kanon 2006, but really the only show on that list I consider a contender for it is "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya". The rest fall into the categories of "I tried it and don't care for it" (A), "I have yet to try it, but maybe" (B), and "There's no way I'll ever try it" (C).
For the record if I were to try any of the series from the list I have yet to try. I'd lean towards trying out 5cm Per Second and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. However due to competition and multiple choices, I can't say if such a maybe would become a reality.
Also in terms of those shows I tried and don't care for. They are Monster, Cowboy Bebop, and Full Metal Alchemist. They may work for others, but they simply didn't work for me.

dude,
how many "best/masterpiece/etc/etc" threads do you really have to make in this forum instead of starting a more meaningful anime-discussion thread?

Monster is the Dragonball Z of drama....
Actually, I've only seen three of those shows in full, so my judgement is hampered. I think Bebop edges out Haruhi, but talk to me again in half an hour and I'll say it's the other way around.

I've actually never seen any of those shows. Some I have no interest, some I haven't gotten around to watching yet.
Wow, that makes me sound like I haven't seen a lot of stuff with a fairly decent sized list that I haven't seen any of. Oh well. Just different tastes in anime I guess.

I don't expect any meaningful discussion from this guy. He does these threads in at least 4 different forums and they are all he posts. They are supposed to be for some website he is supposedly starting. You know, in case ANN several other well known sites weren't enough, then some new amateur site using ratings obtained by spamming forums will surely do the trick.

You can't rate it until you see the sequel and read the manga and play the game and listen to the drama cds and collect the trading cards and send in the UPCs for the discarded production cels that include frames depicting what REALLY happened in episode 52 after the credits.
On the laserdisc version.
First press.

Don't forget the movie! ;) BTW, does a collectible figure come with it?
We all seem to be a little bored lately eh? Since we've managed to make it another month without another studio closing I guess there's nothing to talk about.

Perhaps we just need the proper motivation. We just need to find the right small issue to blow out of proportion and make a huge deal out of. What?

down or up? :surprised:
Some threads end up being silly enough for a good reading/'discussion'...reminiscent of the kind of nonsense that went on in the 2001-2004 forums.

Well, Edit/Delete Message is a great show, but I'm still undecided as to whether it's my favorite. In particular, I still don't get what happened in episode 51 with the whole Soda Can incident. Were they just trying to go for the whole Evangelion-type ending?
It didn't help that the extra cels that showed what really happened in Episode 52 only made things even more confusing.
(I do have to say one thing, though... that show had just the right amount of fanservice for me. :virgin: )

Of course, but only two were ever made and I believe Gatts bought them both. So you'll have to ask him if you are interested in buying on. I don't think he'll give be in a selling mood though.
As for confusion in ep. 51. I think the light novel goes into more detail, but some people said that wasn't canon.

Clearly you haven't watched Higurashi before like I have. If you had, you'd know it's actually a "Cooking Show". You should see the way they prepare the ingredients. ;)

Well I have yet to see all of Monster. I'm reading the manga from Viz so far love it. That being said from the ones on your list I'd go with Bebop. But personaly I'd go with Evangelion.

That is so a non-issue. If you just pay attention it's obvious what's going on. I mean, were we even watching the same show?
