My stepfather (a fan of classical music) says:

I can't specifically identify it, but in general, it's a fugue in the baroque style, very typical of the many that J. S. Bach wrote. It sounds a lot like it's the beginning of the second half of a "Prelude and Fugue", of which he wrote many. Whether it was his or not, I don't know. It may have been by Dietrich Buxthude, Bach's mentor, or by someone else.
