So I was going through one of my Jp Newtypes this morning and came across some series called Baccano, which looked kind of cool. I watched the first episode, and I have no idea what is going on. Does anyone know anything about this series? Is it just supposed to be some fairy tale a little girl is making up, or is it a regular story? Either way, it seemed kind of cool and different, but I need to know more about it.

It is more than cool. Baccano is my favorite show ever. It also has rapidly made its way into a lot of other people's top 10. Entertainment at its best.

Yeah, I know. Right? Sheesh.
Kidding! I've heard of it and only seen trailers, being the last otaku not downloading fansubs. But it looks cool.

I heard of it but only just recently, when I asked roastedpekingduck what his icon is from.

There was a long GA discussion thread on it. Ended only a little ways back too.
Baccano is a really good show, just loaded with ridiculousness and blood and fun. Possibly one of my top 10 for the year, or if not, really close.

It's absolutely smashing. Though I haven't had the chance to get past episode four, I plan to finish Baccano! when I get the time (after Christmas). I've even seen a few episodes raw as a "preview" just to get me excited. It's sure to be licensed soon, and I've been advertising it to my friends.

I'd stop well short of "sure", but I think it has an alright chance. I'd certainly get it if so.

I think it has a high chance depending on which company you're talking about. It sounded like a Geneon title to me, but... I don't really care, as long as they can advertise well (ADV?). I've been surprised by the shows they've been releasing lately.
From your mouth to their ears. We need a box or some neat extra for it as well.

I'm still hoping Sisters of Wellber will be announced asap.
