Hey guys, I have been dying to do a few show discussions involving episodes. I have chosen Gankutsuou as my first show to do as it is one of my favorites. Please remember to use spoiler tags.
So without further ado...
EPISODE 1: WE MEET AT JOURNEY'S END
In this first episode Albert and Franz arrive on Luna ready for the carnival. Durning the carnival Albert first sets eyes on The Count and later he and Franz are invited to dine with him. A short game takes place after dinner where Albert has to choose a card out of 3 set before him. The one he picks will have one of 3 men to be executed initials on it, and that person shall be pardoned by the cardinal. Albert goes along with the Count's little game and saves the only true criminal. Later he feels bad for the decision after getting in a shouting match with Franz. Albert leave the hotel and Franz and heads off looking for love. He meets a young girl but and one the lsat hour of Carnival he decides to have some alone time with her, only to get a gun pointed at his chest.
What I like about this episode...
I like the animation for one thing, its the best of any anime show in my opinion. The interaction between The Count and Albert is also great along with the music and pacing. A very solid first hit.
Next someone post about episode 2 and so on...
I want other people to participate too.
