What's "hi-vision"?

Thinking of getting this as its inexpensive & Iwao Junko :neko: . Having only seen the Manga release on rental, there are no translated or untranslated Japanese VA credits anywhere on the disc.

Term "Hi-Vision" is a japanese way to name High Definition (HD) :) When HD was only at labs in US, Japanese TV companies had been already airing in high resolution, naming it Hi-Vision (another perfect example of "engrish"). And now, Japan has its Hi-Vision and rest of the world has HD, both are the same technologies (at least now - Hi-Vision was at first analog way to transmit high resolution material btw).
