trying to remember name of this show

When I was watching My Dear Marie, the super strong android reminded me of a show that I saw that had at least at one point a super strong girlfriend and a wimpy boyfriend that was played for her over the top reactions when he fell down or was threatened.

Does any of this ring a bell? I'm pretty certain that the show/scene is in my DVD collection since I don't watch fansubs. It is possible that I'm just remembering a Wodehouse story or mixing that up with the opening of Pumpkin Wine which does feature a much larger girlfriend compared to her boyfriend. It might also be something in Urusei Yatsura since it has a lot of stuff going on in the entire series.

It's not Mahoromatic as I haven't watched that show. It's also not Saber Marionette J as I have watched that several times. Cat Girl Nuku Nuku does sort of ring a bell as I have the OVA and I do remember her as being a bit excessive in the way she does things. I'll have to find my DVD of the OVA and see if that is the show.

There is also that heavy armor wearing girl in Urusei Yatsura, but I'm not sure if Ataru ever got to try and date her.

(I'm thinking it's not Nuku Nuku, at least not the original OAVs)

That's what I thought at first, but neither of the male leads are wimps in those shows.
As for what it might be, I got nothin'. I just know it's definitely not Nuku Nuku (original, TV or Dash) or Mahoromatic.

Well as far as details go, I can't even give an impression of what the characters looked like. My DVD collection is quite large at this point which doesn't help matters much as far as pinning down when I viewed it. It's well over 500 DVDs at this point and probably closer to 750 DVDs.

I do seem to remember that girl as being more human than android like so more likely a super strong girlfriend. Also for some reason I get the impression of a scene revolving around either a park bench or bus bench where the wimpy guy is either frozen to the spot or bewildered at her extreme strength. Not sure about this but he might actually try and hide while she does her stuff. They are probably about the same age. Can't recall the hair color but I think the girl usually wears a school uniform.

It's not Love Hina for sure as I would recall the details for that show since I watched it again fairly recently. It's not I Love Mimi or Steel Angel Kurumi as I don't have those shows.

Trouble Chocolate could be a possibility as I do have the first DVD of that and I liked it well enough that I will eventually get the rest of them off ebay. I remember nothing of that show at this point except for some sort of high speed race to school scene.

New Cutie Honey I also have, but I think the age difference probably rules it out as I don't remember anybody that Cutie was involved with that was around her age and I don't seem to remember her wearing a school uniform.

Maybe a better way to figure this out is to list shows that feature a real wimpy guy, especially when compared to other guys.

maybe not a girlfriend but could it be Miki Onimaru from Muteki Kanban Musume aka Ramen Fighter Miki?

the main male characters in RFM aren't particularly weak looking, nor do they cringe from the sight of her, but the side characters who get in Miki's way end up traumatized.

I think I may have narrowed down the show. It is possibly Outlanders which seems to fit everything I remember. The alien princess pretty much causes massive collateral damage when she enters the scene and decides to make a wimpy photographer her future husband. I remember at the time I watched it how similar she was to Lum of UY and a bit surprised at the amount of nudity it has.
