I'm somewhat interested in getting Discipline and Ever 17 from the Rightstuf weekly specials. Will they will run on Windows Vista?

I've got Discipline and it seems to run just fine on Vista.
At least I haven't discovered any problems after an hour
or two of running it.
I don't know about Ever17 though, as I don't have that one.
My guess is that it should run, as these games tend not to
use the Windows API's in funky ways.

Pretty much all of the current games like Discipline will run on Vista. I'm running Vista Business at home and have only had issues with G Collections release of Private Nurse not running correctly. That includes some of the Japanese only games such as Ringetsu and Shin Aniyome.

32 or 64 bit vista?
think windows xp/98 games should all run on vista as long as it's 32 bit version... 64 is a crap shoot.

Until you asked I didn't even know that there was more than one version (shows how little I keep up with computers). I checked after you mentioned it and I have the 32 bit version. What's the difference between the 32 bit and 64 bit versions?

What's the difference between the 32 bit and 64 bit versions?
64 bit was designed to run and take advantage of the 64 bit processor architecture. Basically it has advanced memory mapping and addresss space manipulation for that particular style of processor.
It's not really something you would have to worry about. Most people have 32 bit or x86-64 processors, and are running the 32 bit version of windows. :)

Also keep in mind that the 64-bit version has less driver support than the 32-bit version does. It's probably moot point if you bought a prebuilt system with 64-bit Vista since they've already made sure the components in the computer work with the OS (can't always say the same for any peripherals you plug into the box, however), but it's something to be aware of.
