Since it's been a looong time between the previous last subbed release of this and the new release of a subbed ep. 22 (and I'm crossing my fingers they'll knock the last 4 episodes out quickly as well...) I'm gonna start a new thread so those of us (listens to see if he hears anything besides crickets...) who don't want to have to wade through the spoiler-filled discussions of those who watched it raw will have a place to go.
The original thread is located here (http://www.animeondvd.com/forum/showtopic.php?tid/19041). Obviously, if you've seen the episodes not subbed yet, please refrain from posting spoilers here- or at least hide them with the forum's spoiler tags.

Ep. 22
Ah, it's really nice to finally be able to watch more of this... I've been holding out hope for a while that it wasn't completely dropped, and it's nice to see that hope wasn't in vain.
Not going to give a blow-by-blow of the episode, but it was largely the 2nd half of the setting-up for the Japan-US 'fight'. Lots of good character interaction, and the shadow-conspiracy that has been hinted at 'fixing' the fights comes to the forefront. It was nice to see how the different factions/groups dealt with the takeover by the higher-ups.
I've got mixed feelings about the American Gigantic pilot... on one hand, he seems to be a right bastard- but on the other hand (though he only seems to now be really voicing or acting on that thought, and potentially just because of the mental erosion...) he doesn't like the fact that the fight has a fixed outcome and wants to actually (at least to some extent) earn the victory.
With Team Japan heading out to take on Optimus Prime Team USA, I'd have to imagine that fight will not take the rest of the remaining 4 episodes- so the last few will likely have to deal with the aftermath of the WWW and just what exactly happens when one of the gods 'wins'. Perhaps it's just that it's been quiet a long while since I'd watched it, but the shot at the end of the OP animation with Susanoo flying out into space has me quite intrigued...
Yeah, I followed it when it was airing and really enjoyed it. I'm hoping that Bandai Visual picked it up since they're announcing a license this week as I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I'm not touching this series until it's fully subbed but it's nice to see there has been more progress on it.

I can't say I blame you... I'm tempted to do that myself. I'm kind of hoping since it's been so long that they'll release most of the rest of it all at once. Shows like this I will occasionally do that with anyway since they've given to leaving massive cliffhangers that make it really suck to have to wait to see what happens.

I really cannot remember this episode (and the DVD with it on is still in the post)
Given that threaded mode exists and posts about specific episodes were properly labelled with the episode number, and given that this was never an immensely popular series I don't see that there's really a need for a new thread, but whatever.
Lego's original post on this episode is here (http://www.animeondvd.com/forum/showpost.php?post/522738/).

The last few episodes finally got subbed, guess I'll check this out once I settle on what I'm watching this Spring.

It's 26 episodes, not 24 heh. You up for an episode by episode discussion once all of it is there Westlo?
