"Getting ready to head out, getting dressed"

So putting my demons to rest so to speak I'm starting to get my focus back and with that comes my hunger for anime. It's like when you have a bad case of the flu and you're getting better and you get that great feeling of getting your appetite back and you feel like you can eat a horse. This has led me into rewatching my collection starting with FMP.

In FMP you have a couple shots of Chidori waking up in the morning in PJ's before she "preps herself" the way you usually see her. Most of the time we don't get to see characters with their hair down, but what are your favorite moments or moments that have stuck with you where characters are getting ready to head out somewhere(date, event, school, whatever) or a "getting dressed" moment?

One that instantly came to mind was Louise from ZnT putting on her black stockings :beat:

On a more humorous note there is a pretty good scene where Fuyutsuki paints herself up while checking out swimsuits in GTO

Anytime Cardcaptor Sakura's Kinomoto Sakura races through her breakfast to go to school with big brother Touya (particularly with his pal Tsukishiro Yukito in tow). She nearly chokes on gulped-down food, and then fastens those skates of hers so fast to speed on out. As in everything else she does, too cute. :)

Oh, and how about the ultimate significance of Katsuragi Misato's application of lavender perfume on her person, in episode 15 of Neon Genesis Evangelion? Her choice of dress in general...

My favorite has to be the one in Magic User's Club OVA ep. 6. It's one that comes in a serious moment of the series and it's played out beautifully.

I have to agree with Shsway about the usual Sakura Kinomoto "late morning" wake-up in CCS. It's a staple part of the series for me, and glad there was a version of it in the second movie too.

My Neighbors, the Yamadas has some great exit / getting ready scenes.

First one that jumped to mind was Kannazuki no Miko Ep. 1. Mako tries to wake Himeko up. She falls out of bed, her nightgown falling over her exposing her panties and Mako takes pictures until Himeko is fully ready.

I can't remember which ep it is, I think it's episode 33, but two instances of Rosetta getting up and panicking like mad in Kaleido Star, first when Kalos wakes her up with the job, and more hilariously when she's still in her black nightgown trying to wake up Sora, and sees the feet rather than the head and then jumps on her stomach in a panic...hilarious.

CCS has to be a main stay - the first episode of Magical Project S with Sammy's parents wake her up and she does a Sakura-esque panic (complete with Colgate smile)...

I also have a sweet wallpaper of all the School Rumble girls after a sleepover - their reactions are all different (Lala's is hilarious, Tenma is Tenma, and the rest are normal...though damn do Eri and Sara look good with their hair down...)
