I haven't gotten to play SMT Persona 3 yet even though i have it since release day. And now i know that it's coming out again with FES in April, which i will certainly be buying too.

What i want to know is which version of the original to play? Should i get into the game right now and play FES when that disc comes out? Or would it be a better idea to play the "updated" version of it that will be included with FES (along with FES both back to back) and play another RPG right now until FES comes out?

From what I understand, the updated version of Persona 3 found in FES contains some additional story, as well as costumes. So if you're interested in having Yukari, Mitsuru, and Fuuka decked out in maid uniforms (among others), then just hold out until April.

Wait until April. FES contains everything that was in the original Persona 3, plus some updates, tweaks, and the extra content. Save games do not transfer over from the original so if you started playing now you'd have to start over again when you got FES.

If I remember correctly, data does carry over as in "New Game +" like you keep your Persona Compendium and whatnot.

FES = Directors Cut. If that sort of thing is your cup of tea then wait.
