now that the 3 episode OVA series (should we count this as series 3?) is over with... any word on a new TV series to pick up right after the OVAs?

I thought Tsubasa was supposed to be 3 seasons long, still after 2 TV seasons and the OVA eps... we now know the truth... think they could do another 2 full TV series as least if they go by the manga and added filler.

Still with xxxholic cutting out almost all reference to Tsubasa... it'll be interesting to see if these 2 shows ever intersect with each other like the way they seem to be in the manga.

They canceled the third season and switched animation studios to Production I.G. the rest of the series will be told via OVAs.

Which would be perfectly lovely by me.

I wonder how many OVA episodes it's gonna be to complete it and how long it'll all take O.O

No, we've had no news at all about any Tsubasa anime past the 3 OVAs that have already been released.

I'm not sure where people keep getting this "3rd season" business, because whenever I've looked, I find only 52-episodes were scheduled from the beginning. I've never seen were any official talk of a 3rd season was done. The only things I find are fan speculations. If someone can show otherwise, that'd be cool because I've never seen it and as this has come up on FUNimation's forum before, I decided to take time to try to find out where this came rumored 3rd season came from.

Personally, the OVA format is fine, providing Production I.G continues its fairly accurate adaptation of the story. I'd like for them to get it linked with xxxHOLiC, but that's going to be tough I think. As far as I know, there were no Tsubasa references in the xxxHOLiC anime series (which wasn't a good adaptation IMO). The two manga titles clearly intersect on a more important basis now (as noted in Del Rey's recent release of xxxHOLiC Vol. 11) but short of massive retconning (or simply redoing xxxHOLiC from scratch), I don't see how the writers can easily link the two anime series all of the sudden.
