Saw this sad news posted at a few places so I thought I would post it here for anyone who attended or had plans to attend T-Mode.

It seems that the con chairman Lawrence Stuckey unexpectedly passed away.

This was posted to the con website

I am deeply saddened to report the untimely passing of T-MODE Chairman, Lawrence Stuckey. Lawrence was the heart and soul of T-MODE, and he worked tirelessly for the convention to succeed and to grow into something truly unique and special.

The future of T-MODE is now uncertain. It has not been decided whether T-MODE will move forward or not. If T-MODE is to continue, it will definitely need the support of anime and gaming fans to help realize the greatness of Lawrence’s vision.

Keeping with the tradition set by Lawrence to make T-MODE a convention where anime and gaming fans have a voice, I would like to know your thoughts. Would you support T-MODE in moving forward, and if so, how? Please post your comments in the Chairman's Corner.

Lawrence’s Loving Wife,
Sharvonique Renee Fortune-Stuckey
T-MODE Vice-Chairman

How old was he?

Anyway my heart and prayers go out to his family. So sad.

As noted with the recent posts from AnimeCons.com, T-MODE will still go on this September. I'm really impressed Sharvonique's (and the rest of the con staff's) perserverance, and although I hadn't been able to attend T-MODE previously, I really hope to come out this year and show my support.

Yes...that was posted in March. It's old news now. There's no need to go replying to two month old threads.

Oh gosh, I'm so sorry! See, I just wanted to share my opinion that I thought it was great that the con is continuing after the chairman's untimely death earlier this year, which is information that was never specifically posted here at AnimeonDVD. Also, there seem to be a lot of separate threads about various news items for the same cons being posted these days, and since I didn't want to comment on T-MODE's musical guests or a chance to win free Death Note movie tickets from them, I thought this would the right place to post my thoughts on the con in general.

My bad!
