Birdy the Mighty Decode

According to Anime News Network, the new Birdy the Mighty anime has an official name now and it looks like it has an excellent production staff behind it as well.

Slightly disappointed that the original voice cast won't reprise their roles once again but in a way, it was expected. At least it is in nice hands when it comes to the voice talent.

Can't wait to see it once again in action! :)

Damn, I need to see the original OAV; I actually kinda put it down since it was radically different from most of the Kawajiri stuff I've seen in terms of atmosphere... but like, I'm really beginning to regret not having seen it.

Well, yeah, Kawajiri does his own thing most of the time; I've browse through some of the X manga and noticed that there's a lot of stylistic differences...

(I'm not sure, but I think I hate what Fuma wears in the manga... there's definitely a better gothic sensibility in Kawajiri's thing... but, I dunno; I should probably either actually read the manga or get off of Kawajiri's dick)

But, anyway, the original OAV was real different for Kawajiri, which is pretty much why I got turned off.

Still, I kinda wish that I watched it, despite this.
