No thread for this? Well, let's change that.

Just caught the first episode and I was quite pleased with what I saw. Given that this is the first post of the thread, I'll leave off spoilers for the moment, but let's just say that(after pondering it forever) I'm finally convinced that I want to pick up the manga.

I'm happy to see that it's being animated, but it seems like this will be short as hell. I originally saw it would be 6 episodes, and now I'm seeing that it will be only 3 episodes long.

With Minekura supervising it herself, I was expecting it to go beyond the manga, which it doesn't look like it will. Anyway, I'll be watching this anime.

A setup like that and only three episodes? Well, that just makes me all sorts of sad. Guess I'll enjoy it while it lasts then.

That's why I'm hoping that it will be a longer show; even a 12-13 episode series would be enough. I just want to see what happens after the manga!

Well, I've seen episode 1, and after looking through the "Pilot Edition" of the manga that TokyoPop released, which apparently has all of the chapters Minekura ever did, I can honestly say that what happens in this episode does not happen in the manga.

Now that I've checked, the manga starts at the end of Game 8, giving insight into the characters as it goes on. Seeing as the anime actually starts from Game 1, I'm having high hopes that this anime will be at least 12-13 episodes long and that we see more scenes not done in the manga like this episode did.

Bus Gamer manga is currently running in Comic Rex with vol 1 recently released but I'm not sure where Minekura started that run.

Well according to ANN's database, there are only three episodes. I'm actually surprised it's this short, considering that the plot has the potential of creating a rather long-running series. (Mind you, I rarely read manga first before watching anime.)

I don't know why I even started it now after seeing episode one. After watching episode 1 and knowing how long the series is going to be I can see it leaving me irritated like I felt when I finished Tokko and Jyo-oh-sei/Juuousei. I feel the show has a lot of premise but not enough time to develop it.

And that's that for part 3. The episode was actually fairly flat and just sort of ends, but still, there's a part of me that still wants this to be developed into a full series.
