Starz Edge is going to show Black Lagoon, 2nd Barrage in the US!

My DVR just populated, and the first 4 episodes of the 2nd Barrage just showed up. The first 2 episodes are this Tuesday at midnight, and the next 2 the week after. :-)

Now if only some company would release the darn DVDs.

I doubt it, considering that G4TechTV Canada has been airing The Second Barrage since mid-Jaunary, immediately after the last episode of Season 1.

Me too. I just hope someone can rescue it at some point. It would be a shame (especially since it is already dubbed) for it to go unreleased.

To add to black lagoon season 2, the bootleg company MI has releases a boxset with both english and japanese audio and english subtitles. So somehow I think they got there hands on some dvd rips, my first impression was that they took there old boxset and added in the TV dub your seeing now. But bootleg companies release in two forms, they either take the TV rips like fansubbers do and add in there own english subititles( usually bad), along with chinese subs, or they that the R1 dvds and put them on there own disc's, usually 2 R1's for 1 bootleg, so a 6 disc series would be 3 on a bootleg. If you look at MI's other black lagoon second season release you will notice it has japanese dub with english and chinese subs, your typical "riped from tv and terribly subbed" bootleg release, but on the one with dual audio it only has english subs, so if they just added the english dub they wouldn't have released it without the chinese subs. This leads me to believe the got there hands on some legit english dvd's to make that set, so somehow, somewhere there is someone who is going to release and english language version of the second season of black lagoon.

No, Sci-Fi Channel is part of NBC/Universal just like USA Network, TeleMundo and MSNBC.

With dual language bootlegs, if there is a "perfect" subtitle translation for a fully unreleased show on DVD, its often the dub dialogue taken from recording from TV i.e. dubtitling. I think there was/is a Sailor Moon release (1st 2 seasons) that got released, though am unsure whether the episodes bootlegged were the DiC or uncut versions.

The irony is that, word for word, legit dubtitled releases are no better than the bootlegs purely from a subtitle English translation POV.

I watched the remaining episodes on Youtube several months ago (dont know if there still there). I sure hope the rest of the series does come to DVD, those three episodes with the vampire kids was pretty cool.

They are the first 3 episodes of Second Barrage. And the most chilling Black Lagoon story arc of all.

The Vampire Twins, imho, constitute one of the most chilling story arcs in anime.
