And I mean, you watched every episode of it.

I'd have to go with Cardcaptor Sakura. About seventy episodes and two movies. Not even split seasons of School Rumble and Shakugan no Shana combined can match that.

continuously, no doubt it's Touch (http://www.toho-a-park.com/touch-tv/index2.html). Including the movies, the special and the live-action. I can remember each and every episode.

non-continously, gotta be Urusei Yatsura (http://www.5-ace.co.jp/anime/urusei/index.htm). I can't remember each of TV-episodes after S1 and of the ova's, nor if I've ever watched them in order at all. However, I have watched all the movies in order.:p

oh, yeah. Ranma 1/2 (http://www.5-ace.co.jp/anime/ranma/index.htm), too, but that was also non-continuous. I think I finished S6 before I got finished with S5.

Ranma 1/2 is the longest anime that I've watched by far in my collection (and I just finished upgrading it to DVD - Had Seasons 1-5 and the OAV's on VHS; Seasons 6-7 and the first two movies were DVD from the start). Since there are many episodes of Dragon Ball that I've yet to see and I think of all three series (DB, Z, and GT) as one family, I can't count that.

After Ranma, the next longest series I've watched would be Fushigi Yuugi at 65 episodes (TV, OVA 1,2, and Eikouden), then Super GALS! with 52 episodes, which beats out Boys Over Flowers by one episode and GetBackers by three episodes.

I assume you are talking about fully released (not still airing) shows.

If so, I've seen all of Inuyasha (167 episodes) a couple of times all the way through. I'll watch it again, once all the season sets are out.

Next two would be Yu Yu Hakusho (112) and Kodocha (102) - I have the Kodocha R2s.

Still in my queue though, I have Ranma, Urusei Yatsura, and all of City Hunter sitting on my shelves (although I'm still waiting for the last re-releases of Ranma).

And I mean, you watched every episode of it.

I try to avoid long shows. Even so, I think the most I saw of one show is ~125 episodes of Naruto. But I stopped there and don't plan to continue.

Otherwise, there's Cardcator Sakura at 70 episodes and 2 movies. Slayers/Next/Try is something like 78 episodes, though I've passed on most of the specials and movies. I watched 62 episodes of Bleach but like Naruto, don't plan to continue. Hunter x Hunter was 62 + 8 + whatever I suffered through of Greed Island/Final before quitting, probably another 8-10.

I've seen a bunch of 4 cour anime (about 50 eps), either in one chunk or broken into multiple seasons. For examples of those broken up, there's Aria for example, which was 1/2/1 cour over three seasons. Shakugan no Shana was 2/2, the same way Code Geass and Gundam 00 are being handled. Marimite right now is 1/1 cour + ~10 episodes worth of runtime in a 5 ep OVA, and there's a fourth which will add at least 1 more cour for the equivalent of almost a 4 cour anime, if not more.

There are some that will likely be going 6 cour to get up in Slayers/CCS territory, such as Jigoku Shoujo at 2/2/[2?]. I'm sure Shana will get another season for 2/2/[2?]. Nanoha is 1/1/2 and will probably get more, although I think I've given up on that franchise. Hayate no Gotoku is 4/[1+?] cour long, running 52 without a break and it has more coming down the line, so it'll be a 5 cour anime at the absolute least.

So I've seen a number of intermediate length shows, but I'm avoiding anything I know will go over 100, unless it just gets that long by sheer weight of number of seasons.

I think shows handle their length better if they break it up into largely self contained seasons.

Probably 400+ episodes of Detective Conan, followed by Ranma 1/2, Inuyasha, You're Under Arrest, and City Hunter.

Probably because it allows there to be several smaller goals on the way to the larger goal. In my case I have to double check how long some of the shows I watched.

If you subtract the technicality of Stars not ever having been available in R1, I'd say Sailor Moon (165 episodes - would be 166 if not for the omitted R episode), first season through SuperS inclusive.

If that doesn't count, then...

Cardcaptor Sakura (70)
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing (49)
Magic Knight Rayearth (49)
Adventures of the Mini Goddess (48 - but they're 7 min each)
Revolutionary Girl Utena (39)

... no marathon-length series here unfortunately(?). I hope there comes a day when I can add Kodocha to this list, but I'm not hopeful at this point... :(

Exactly 500 TV episodes, 7 OVAs, and 11 movies of Detective Conan. :-D

Chuplayer
04-04-2008, 09:20 PM
All of the Dragon Ball/DBZ/DBGT TV episodes and a number of movies. The only others that (don't really) come close are Robotech (which might not count) and Cardcaptor Sakura.

I've seen more episodes of One Piece though, but I haven't seen all the episodes made yet...

Maison Ikkoku. All 96 episodes, the movie, the recap, the island OVA, and I think there was a music videos thing, too. Damn Viz won't bring over the movie &c.

Inuyasha and Card Captor Sakura are the longest I've watched.

Buckeye

And I mean, you watched every episode of it.

For me, the longest series that I watched every episode of is Inuyasha. All 167 episodes of it I sat through and still anticipating more of it (although I know that it won't happen). Naruto might surpass it if I can get through the filler arcs that is currently airing on Toonami (and then there is another season coming after that).

Cardcaptor Sakura is probably the only "long" series I've completed entirely. Everything else that's shorter fall into the single season, 26-episode length category (which include Azumanga Daioh, Petite Princess Yucie, and Gokujo Seitokai).

Longest contiuous anime series that I have watched complete is, I think, Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu / Legend of Galactic Heroes (110 episodes).

If you count total number of episodes of a complete certain series, it's probably Ashita no Joe / Tomorrow's Joe: Season 1 (1970): 79 + Season 2 (1980): 47 = 126 episodes.

The current ongoing baseball anime series, Major, is probably going to be the longest running complete anime series that I will end up watching if they really do take it all the way. It is now in Season 4 and and if they continue to adapt the manga into anime, there will be a Season 6 (26 episodes x 6 = 156 episodes).

If you count all of the series together, Sailor Moon. I have watched every last episode, some 1 through the final episode of Stars for 199 episodes (minus, the unrelease episode from R). Not counting Stars, I've watched all 165 episodes released to R1 at least 3 times each :P

Second longest, would be Cardcaptor Sakura at 70 (watched at least 3 times through as well), followed by Fushigi Yugi at 52 episodes for the main series (lost count of how many watches :P) and Blood+ at 50 (once so far)

Konoha
04-04-2008, 11:14 PM
Prince of Tennis TV, at 178 episodes - though I think 12.5 shoudl count too, since it did air between 12 and 13. Plus the survival mountain oav, the movie, and the short movie. Length-wise, that means about 181 eps plus one movie. After I see the OAVs, it'll take a while for anything to top that, though once I finish Sailor Moon it'll be about the same length.

that would be the same for me, though i'll get around to seeing Stars soon

as for completely, i'd put down Rurouni Kenshin - 95? tv eps + the ovas and movie

before that it was Hajime no Ippo/Fighting Spirit - 76? tv eps and 1 ova (haven't seen the Mashiba one yet)

If I can combine seasons, it would be Sailor Moon at 200 episodes. Other than that, the longest continuous series I've completed would be Kodocha at 102 episodes. I've technically watched more of Naruto (165 episodes), but that isn't counted as complete yet.

meganly_chan

If all the completed series I've watched all the way through, I'll say Slayers - 78 episodes and a few of the movies (including the recent OVA).

Only listing those anime series I've actually completed....Legend of Galactic Heroes, with 110 episodes for the main series without counting the Gaiden follow-ups, followed by Saint Seiya, with 114 episodes for the TV series alone.

Never really got too far into Sailor Moon, Ranma and so forth.

EmperorBrandon

And I mean, you watched every episode of it.

For me, it would probably be Sailor Moon - I've seen all 200 regular episodes, the three movies, the two short movies, and the SuperS specials. I have watched pretty large chunks of DB/Z/GT on CN, but I don't think I've seen all of any of them (it would probably be more than Sailor Moon if we were counting individual episodes seen). After that, it's a pretty wide gap - next longest thing I have fully completed is Cardcaptor Sakura at 70 episodes, 2 movies, one short movie, and 3 short OVA's, then a few 52-ish anime series come after that. I generally don't get into too many series that go on really long. Length can be good in some ways, but it just doesn't seem most of my favorites go on for too long anyway.

EDIT: Oh geez... I did forget about Inuyasha on CN. I actually missed one episode of that and never got around to seeing it, so maybe it still doesn't count. :p I saw three of the movies too (haven't seen the last one)

All of the Dragon Ball/DBZ/DBGT TV episodes and a number of movies. The only others that (don't really) come close are Robotech (which might not count) and Cardcaptor Sakura.

As far as I'm concerned, Robotech counts. Though I missed a good chunk of it during its' original run over here, and I've yet to finish up the Protoculture set. Same goes for Battle of the Planets too - I've not finished that one either. (need to pick up the remaining Gatchaman sets as well)
Anyway, the longest series I've watched would be Mazinger Z at 92 episodes, followed by Armored Trooper Votoms at 52 eps. (again not finished Robotech or BotP, so they're not included)

Vegard Aune
04-05-2008, 04:32 AM
One Piece. 350 episodes, 9 movies, (I've seen 7 of them) 4 TV-specials (Seen 2) and no signs of being anywhere near the ending yet. I would have said Dragonball, but I haven't even seen half of that, not to mention One Piece will exceed it in length in about 3 years anyway. (And there's NO WAY the series will end before that. Completely impossible.)

GundamWingMan

Here's my list:

Sailor Moon (1st series, R, S, SuperS): 163
Cardcaptor Sakura: 70
Fushigi Yugi (series, 2 OAV's): 62
You're Under Arrest: 52
Boys Over Flowers: 51
Wedding Peach: 51
Gundam Wing: 49
Magic Knight Rayearth (1 & 2): 49

Buckeye

While I am at it, here are other long series that I have seen all of (meaning more than 52 episodes):

Inuyasha (167 episodes)
Card Captor Sakura (70 episodes)
Saber Marionette (25 for J, 6 for J Again, 26 for J to X for a total of 57 episodes)
Slayers (26 for the first season, 26 for Next, and 26 for Try for a total of 78 episodes)

Other series that I have seen a good amount of, but not all of it, include:

Ranma 1/2 (First four seasons)
Tenchi Muyo (seen the OAV, Tenchi Universe, and Tenchi in Tokyo)
Bleach (On the AS broadcast)
One Piece
Naruto (On Toonami Broadcast)

I am a sucker for long shows. I have watched all of Urusei Yatsura, Inu Yasha, Sailor Moon (R1 releases - season 1, R, S, Super S, movies), Maison Ikkoku, Kenshin, Cardcaptor Sakura, Robotech, and I am sure something else I forget off the top of my head.

Sailormoon. 200 episodes, 3 movies, several specials. (I own the R2s.)

And I mean, you watched every episode of it.

Probably Inuyasha. But that's largely because it was on TV.

I suppose the longest series I've ever watched was the 110-episode Legend of the Galactic Heroes, followed by Gatchaman at 105... (It wasn't until the very last box set of that series that I saw the one episode I could remember from "Battle of the Planets.") One of these days, I'll finish Touch, too...

04-05-2008, 03:31 PM
I haven't watched Naruto or Bleach in a few months but I watched all the episodes up to the around episode 10 of the Shippuuden arc in Naruto and 130+ episodes of Bleach.

Buster Blader 126
04-05-2008, 03:43 PM
I would've said Pokemon, but that's still airing.

In general, it'd be Dragon Ball Z, or Yu-Gi-Oh!, but I've missed quite a few episodes here and there during their respective broadcasts on television. Otherwise, it'd be Inu Yasha, since I've actually seen every single episode of it.

Starfyre
04-05-2008, 03:59 PM
Currently the longest that i have completed is Rurouni Kenshin, Slayers, Robotech. Course that will be beat by Bleach and Ranma

bctaris
04-05-2008, 04:46 PM
The entirety of Urusei Yatsura, like some others: 197 episodes, 6 movies, and 11 OVAs.

Anything else is in the 50-100 episode range, like Maison Ikkoku, Ranma, CCS, Slayers, etc.

RayeKinezono
04-05-2008, 05:41 PM
The longest series I've watched has to be Sailor Moon at 165 episodes (not counting Stars).

Other than those, would have to be Full Moon wo Sagashite and You're Under Arrest!, both at 52 episodes. (Technically YUA is 51 episodes and a special, but you know what I mean.)

Shadow Raven

Dragon Ball/Z/GT
Inu Yasha
Yu Yu Hakusho
Sailor Moon

04-05-2008, 06:06 PM
The longest series for me is Dragonball Z (I gave up after 2 episodes of GT).
Others:
You're Under Arrest!
Sailor Moon (All in R1)
Rurouni Kenshin
Science Ninja Team Gatchaman
City Hunter (Up though half of Season 2-A total of 82 episodes)
InuYasha
Fushigi Yugi-The Mysterious Play (Including the two OVA series)
Armored Trooper VOTOMS
Magic Knight Rayearth
Wedding Peach
Patlabor-The Mobile Police
Tekkaman Blade
Robotech

Monster, which is 74 episodes.

Kyosuke
04-05-2008, 11:32 PM
For me the longest were Rurouni Kenshin (95 episodes) and Maison Ikkoku (96 episodes). They don't make many shows over 100 eps these days.

HitokiriShadow
04-06-2008, 12:15 AM
The longest would be Bleach at 165 episodes and counting. Plus the first movie. After that would me Yu Yu Hakusho at 112 episodes plus the movie.

But if you ditch the "every single episode" part, DBZ takes the cake. I didn't see every single episode and I actually missed a lot of the pre-Namek stuff. But I still must have seen at least 240 episodes of it back when it was on Cartoon Network. And I've seen all but one or two of the movies. I also saw all but one or two episodes of DBGT as well as the special. However, I only saw a handful of episodes of the original Dragon Ball.

Dragonball Dragonball Z and Dragonball GT. If you are only talking about one, then Dragonball Z. I'd have to add in One Piece, but I haven't seen every episode on One Piece. I've skipped a few of the anime original episodes.

Suwako Moriya

If you count the various Pretty Cure series together then that one wins for me. 49 for Original, 47 for Max Heart, 49 for Splash Star, 49 for Yes 5! and 10 so far Yes! 5 Go Go! and I'll be watching more of the last one as the new girl has impressed me.

Orihimes_Boyfriend
04-06-2008, 06:11 AM
As of now InuYasha (167 epidoes) Although Bleach will soon eclipse that. Then ccome Yu Yu Hakusho (112) Ater that the longest I've seen is Full Metal Alchemist and Blood + (50 eps each)

When it comes to what I've completely seen, it's definitely Card Captor Sakura at 70 episodes, two movies, and four specials. Next up is Kimagure Orange Road with 56 episodes (including the OVA), two movies, and the pilot episode.

I've got a few greater episode counts in series I haven't finished, however:
Sailor Moon (all sans 33 episodes of R, so 167 episodes, three movies, and three specials [or five, depending on how you count them])
Pokemon (about 118 episodes, aka up to the end of the Orange League)
Prince of Tennis (90 episodes so far)
Ojamajo Doremi (71 episodes and both movies)

Vicserr
04-06-2008, 12:19 PM
Mine... Gatchaman (105 eps). Go Nagai's Mazinger Z (92 eps), Robotech, Battle of the Planets (85 eps), Great Mazinger (56 eps), Votoms (52 eps) along the various R1 gundams, Tekkaman Blade (49 eps) and other stuff. :)

Legion
04-06-2008, 12:46 PM
I'd have to say Fighting Spirit. 75 episodes and 1 TV special. I suppose I haven't watched all of the Fighting Spirit (Hajima no Ippo) anime that's been created (episode 76 and Kimura vs. Mashiba) but as far as what's available in R1, I've seen it all. I have longer series in my collection but I haven't finished watching them yet. In some cases I haven't even started...

04-06-2008, 01:13 PM
Easy. Sailor Moon. 5 series = 200 episodes. 3 movies. 3 specials. Total 206.

Ok I haven't watched the complete of some of these series but i beleive the longest series that i have seen to the end was full metal alchemist (51 + movie) but there is also Ranma1/2 which i am watching currently and also slayers and dragonballZ. There are many other series that i will probably watch as the hopefully release in cheaper dvd box sets such as yu yu hakusho, ruroni kenshin, and others.

04-07-2008, 03:17 AM
The longest? I'd have to say it's probably One Piece. To date, 349 TV episodes, 4 TV specials, 8 movies, 1 OAV, and the omake (baseball, dance carnival, Chopperman, etc.). Second place would be Bleach at 164 episodes, first movie, and the Jump Festa specials. Aside from Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, Inu Yasha, Hokuto no Ken, Pokemon, and Sailor Moon, which I've at least watched 140+ episodes of per, the count for the majority of the longer running series I've watched are in the 70s (Card Captor Sakura, Hajime no Ippo) to 90s (Rurouni Kenshin) to 100s (Slam Dunk, Prince of Tennis). Now that I think about it, 50-52 doesn't seem that long... X_X

Daniel_Perales

And I mean, you watched every episode of it.

Let see.... Right off the top of my head:

Sailor Moon. First series, R, S, SuperS, and Stars (have the entire Stars on LDs), the movies and a special.

Roroni Kenshin
Maison Ikkoku
KOR (TV, OVAs, movies)
Marmalade Boy (and it's movie)
Slayers (including Next, Try, some OVAs and movies)
Fushigi Yuugi (including all the OAVs that came out after)
Full Moon (and it's Special.)
Wedding Peach
