Package type: Signature 2 Disc-Set Rigid BookCan someone tell me what exactly that mean? Is a "Rigid Book" a steel case or something else?

At this point, no one really knows. It could be something like MB's Phoenix (Hinotori) volumes and Tekkaman Blade Collections. Maybe more information will be revealed once this gets listed by retailers such as TRSI.

I hope they keep the packaging in line with the first movie. I'm sure the first did well enough to warrant another one of the same for the second movie.

Thinking about getting it for Gaara and Shikamaru, thinking about not getting it because of Sakura.

I'm not surprised they used this cover. I think this is the only image I've seen used to promote the second movie

It looks to me as if this is the only version of the movie, with the solicitations now done. What a let down from Viz, again.

Kind of surprising, with this being a 2 disc set, that a simple single disc release didn't accompany it... unless that's still to be announced.

Oh no, I meant the first movie got a 3-disc steelbook release, the third disc was the soundtrack wasn't it?

Expecting Viz to do things right consistently is like expecting snow every day in Florida. Every so often it happens but you'd be disappointed if you expect it to happen all the time.

I don't think we should give hope for a special edition to be announced. Remember, the three-disc edition of the first Naruto movie was released two months after the single-disc edition.

Or even most of the time... it just doesn't happen.

That is true... some companies like to do that with the hope that people like to have multiple copies of the same show in their collection. Yes, I'm looking at you Funi!

Ah yes it was indeed. That's good to know I guess. I'm going to be optimistic about this. They can't muck up their BIGGEST property ^^.

What are you talking about? Viz can't spent a few weeks without doing things in an abnormal way... they just can't help themselves.

That's pretty nice, if slightly busy.
