I'm liking the color squeme they are using for this. The orange doesn't look that bad in the background.

I saw that there are 3 box sets of this series, could someone tell me what the difference is between them.
I did notice the last one has the ova's. But I would like to know more about the 3 releases

This cover look nice. Nice work with the colors. I normally don't like orange but on this boxset it fit pretty well.

Well, one boxset is the premium artbox with the singles for the series minus the ova. The other boxset is a bricklike one that has the four singles minus the cases and special artbox. And then there's this one which has the ova included as well as the tv series. This one is probably going to be a brick with the single discs but not cases.

I would hope there's an indication that this is a yaoi label title....

I don't think there's been one in any of its incarnations.

That's kind of weird since their yuri-titels have one...

and it should....so buyers know what they are grabbing...so-to-speak.... it would help yaoi fans find titles they want... It doesn't get more obvious than two guys kissing and professing love

Right, they should definitely state somewhere that the title is Yaoi. For some reasons i've stumbled on this series quite often not knowing what it was. When i read some descriptions/reviews it all made it clear i didn't want this...

I think it's because it is one of their old titles that it's not part of their 'line'. Although you never know what might happen in the long run. It would be nice if it happened though.

We have this sitting in our warehouse at Best Buy. It's pretty similar to the Anime Legends boxes that Bandai uses. Though it seems a bit flimsier. Plus, the artwork looks a little cheap in person, but Media Blasters hasn't been especially strong in that area.

And I didn't see anything written on the box about it being a yaoi title. But I didn't look that close, as I already have the series. Though it's certainly not in the same realm as Loveless or Gakuen Heaven. The boy-boy subtext doesn't become too obvious till several episodes into the series. The only thing I didn't like was the overall complexity of the series. I would sometimes loose track of who had been who in past life. It didn't help that they would randomly switch between using a person's past name, and their name in the present time. But it's very historically accurate, and is pretty high on the drama.

Thanks, I wasn't too sure about the second one since I've never seen it anywhere. I definitely prefer the third collection since it has such value for our buck!

I have a friend that I believe is very much in love with this series and this would be a good present for her. Something else to think of for the next birthday rounds :).
