wd has been dead for a while now... and it just dawned on me that when I visited nis's website... it felt like I was at wd's old site...
the packing of the latest game i got felt like the same type of hq packing detail I had from wd's stuff. not to mention the bonus items and trinkets they do.
and they both seem to focus on jp games for conversion into the na market...
i just thought it was odd.
any idea what vic ireland is doing now?

Probably something other than NIS America. IIRC, Ireland had said something about a new project porting Japanese games to the XBox360.
He is certainly not listed among any of the production credits for NIS games that I have ever seen, though I could have sworn that one of the voices in Atelier Iris 2 sounded very similar to John "Ghaleon" Truitt.
Other than that, no links between between NIS and WD beyond the superficial have appeared.

Not that I'm aware of, though both NIS and Atlus often do the kinds of games Working Designs would have and put out LEs that would make them proud. It wouldn't surprise me if some WD employees found new jobs with NIS or Atlus at some point.

Or to be more specific, his new company is http://www.gaijinworks.com/
Though that site hasn't been updated in forever.

Good to see he's keeping up the grand WD tradition.

That was my thought too. Vic was always such a big of hot air.
