DO NOT PICK MORE THAN 2 CHARACTERS IN THE POLL. PICKING MORE WILL VOID YOUR VOTES!
That aside, we're now finishing up the first half of the draft. Good luck to all playing!

And of course, I get to kick off the voting. It's about time that I get to vote for 2 guys! I hated having to cut a 3rd one out, but I will enforce my own rules like a hawk!
(Other than that, I have to say that I like being able to see things before others! :P It'll make it easier to track who has voted, and less work in the end to determine how many votes to void.)
*checks percentages* Actually, there may even be an easier way than checking the names... all I'd have to do is add all the percentages, since it does seem to track vote percents correctly in this software!

How long can the poll question text go on? Just curious, because it might be good to have the full warning at the top of the poll, since it's the first thing people will see. If they know their votes will be voided, it'll make it less likely people will accidentally or purposely mess up there.
Anyway, Fakir is my favorite male character in anime, so of course I voted for him. My second pick was Suiseiseki who is one of my favorite Rozen Maiden dolls (though after Shinku and maybe Hina-Ichigo for me).

For the second vote, I gave it to Narue, since older shows need some love, and Narue deserves some.

Not sure how Fakir will do - I'm hoping the Ahiru fans of Round 2 flock back (didn't work for Kagami though...I cry...)
My second vote in all seriousness was down to Ami and Yakumo...but in the end, at least Fudce replied to my attempt to get a yur...I mean a...ahem...picture of their character with one of the other female cast...yeah, that works...so went with Yakumo.

Can you bold and underline in the poll, though? I don't think you can, which is why I just used the caps, and made sure the very first line of my post was the warning.

Well, vote #1 went to Suiseiseki, who I drafted. She definitely made Jun's house more lively over the course of Rozen Maiden. As for my second vote, I knew 11 other characters besides Suiseiseki. After taking one glance, I narrowed it to two lovely ladies:
Yakumo
Asa
Unfortunately, I send my apologies to Yakumo. Asa's wily charms have me by the throat.

There were some rather nice choices and yes that includes male characters this time. Such as Fakir (Princess Tutu) for example. So deciding was a lot tougher. I would say that the opposite would be true for Asa Shigure. Had we still been using the FusionBB software, I think Asa would have benefitted from the poll being on the sidebar. Though it is a bit puzzling that Asa only received 6 votes despite the fact that she's supposed to be the most popular character on Shuffle (allegedly) and easily won the Shuffle poll I conducted last month.
Oh, well, at least Sui-chan did very well. She's one of the characters I was thinking about as my first-round choice for next year's draft (if there's going to be one).

While I'm hopeful that Urd & Ecliar will perhaps be on the top half of the list, I'm not sure how well Eri will do, Split-voting will hurt Kyo, and I drafted Pikachu. I'm expecting to drop about 2 places with Pikachu, but drafting him/her was oh so worth it. XD
Suiseiseki (Rosen Maiden) 9 14.5
Yakumo Tsukamoto (School Rumble) 9 14.5
Curses, cost myself half of a point by voting for Suiseiseki... ;)
To think that if I voted for Yakumo instead of Asa, that I would've lost a half-point. =P Yakumo is awesome, but I like Asa just a tad more.
Congrats to both Westlo and Lumberjack on you tie, and thanks to those that voted for Asa.
It's possible, but Shuffle! is still moreso an otaku-oriented series, and Shuffle's R1 exposure hasn't been long enough to show the more awesome qualities of Asa, IMO.
And you're welcome. :sdsmiley:

How did Sanosuke Sagara manage to not be bottom of the pack? With the votes on the side bar I thought he would have an OK result but I held no hope without it, but he managed to finish a little bit higher, so a personal success :)
Although what has happened to the love of Negima? Konoka did really poor and the great Evangeline only got 2 votes which is terrible. I thought she would have been a high flyer this round and that was the only reason I didnt vote for her.
Congratulations to the joint winners Lumberjack and Westlo and thank you to the few that voted for Sanosuke.

You may have won the battle, but the war goes on :beat:
You didn't do bad enough for this win to make much of a difference in the overall standings. Your lead over the field only decreased by one point.
And at the half-way point, the total scores are:
85.5 Socratic Island Laputa
79.5 Lumberjack
With the complete annihilation of Negima's popularity, a bottom finish for Sechan wouldn't surprise me.

Fuko earned me another top 10 result so I'm very happy with her performance. I'm certain she benefited from the loss of the sidebar vote as I suspect this dramatically increased the percentage of voters who are Clannad fans.
On to Round 6 then and I'm expecting Pacifica to fare considerably worse - but I've been surprised before so fingers crossed.

Congrats Coach Lumberjack! Are you surprised by your co-winning this round? Do you regret giving a vote to Faye though? What do you think your chances are for the final five rounds?
To be honest, I am somewhat surprised that Guts was able to co-win the round. He was one of the characters on my team I feared would do the worst. (Thanks to all who voted for him.)
I have no regrets in voting for Faye. She is from one of my favorite series and, had she been available, would have been my pick for the round.
Regarding the last 5 rounds, I'm hoping I can place somewhere in the middle of the rounds. I think Ed will perform the best on my team and Canti will perform by far the worst.
On an unrelated point, I like the fact that you can see who voted for whom once the poll is closed.

Akira Kogami (Lucky Star) 5 4.5
:relief: I probably should have drafted her closer to the end. Might've gotten a little boost from the dvd release. Ah well. Thanks to those who voted for her and congrats to Lumberjack and Westlo!
