I was not sure if I should post this in the English Track forums, but since it kinda involves the video games in some way I thought I'd post it here.
So here's the thing, since 2005 when Shadow The Hedgehod came out and especially since 2006 when Sonic The Hedgehog (the next gen version) came out many Sonic fans have basically called for Sega to get rid of Jason Griffith as the voice of Sonic in the games.
Now I've gotta say, I will admit Jason is not that great as Sonic but he really does not bother me that much, it's people on YouTube that are bothered by him mainly because of the following reasons...
-He basically flat out sucks and Sonic, making sound more dorky than cool
-The has made little to no attempt to improve his performance whatsoever
-He's...well not been very rceptive to fans
In fact a bunch of people on YouTube set up a campaign to get the previous voice of Sonic (Ryan Drummond) back as the voice of Sonic in Super Smash Bros Brawl, they were unsuccessful though because despite getting the attention of Nintendo, Sega just refused to get him back.
Now they are trying again, only this time instead of trying to get Ryan back, they want someone within the 4Kids voice cast pool to replace him as well as doing the same thing with the other major characters in the Sonic games.
I've gotta say I must admit getting the attention of Nintendo is something, but even so even if they get Jason outed as the voice of Sonic...how is that going to help the games, I mean sure the characters might improve to those fans, but the games (apart from some of the handheld ones) have pretty much sucked...I don't know if this is a good idea or not but...more power to them if they do get Jason outed I guess, but like I said how will this make the games any better
