I can't really think of many. The only one that comes immediately to mind is Maison Ikkoku. Considering 95% of anime features teenagers, I don't think there's a lot. But anybody has any other ones that come to mind?

I'm not looking for a "hook up," I'm looking for an actual wedding (or post-marriage moment like RahXephon) somewhere in the finale.

Grumble Grumble Grumble

There's always 'Excel Saga', wedding with Nabeshin, with the results of the wedding shown in 'Puni Puni Poemi'... (Not that the wedding had anything to do with the mian characters...)

There's also 'Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water', which has a post-marriage scene in the Epilogue last episode of the series (which still has one of the tidiest ending of a Anime series I've seen...)

And 'Tenchi Muyo! GPX!' ends with a harem wedding scene, (which gets interrupted...)

Marmalade Boy. Although we're not talking the main characters.

Nadia.

Legend of Black Heaven. One of the few shows I know with a married main couple that also looks at their life.

I'm not entirely sure that they actually got married, although Last Exile and Kurogane Communications show the whole life after life togetherness bit.

They definitely are married at the end of Planetes.

There was almost wedding at the end of "UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie" Season 1 episode 12.

Not to be spoilerish, but I think there is an almost wedding at the end of every season of Ultramaiden Valkyre....

Oh, just remembered one too. Ultramaniac! Nice little ending.

And how did we miss Macross/Robotech? Max and Miria's Wedding!

And of course, Please Teacher!.

Not quite in the anime, but definitely in the manga - Sailor Moon.

Rurouni Kenshin:Reflections Director's Cut has flashback scenes that have Kenshin & Kaoru's wedding, & also little Kenji.

Oh! My Goddess OVAs end with Keiichi's engagement to Belldandy.

Ceres:Celestial Warrior has Aya married to Toya IIRC (not shown).

City Hunter ends with Ryo & Kaori's wedding, or its about to happen.

Without commenting on actual quality, Hani Hani Operation Sanctuary ended with a wedding. Also, Final Approach, the regular episodes ended with a (side character) wedding, there was a bonus episode after that though.

I would spoiler it, but I'm not sure to many people will actually care :P

In true Godannar fashion, the series ends with a wedding that is quickly interrupted by what I beleive is the final mimetic beast attack.

Para kissSPOILERS LOOK AWAY!(sorta but doesn't really show you just Yukari talking with her mom and stuff about a wedding and then she says she wanted to wear the one dress George made for her to her wedding.

Please don't remind me of this! I hate this show because of that! What a way to kill it for me. Recommend the show for the ridiculousness and comedy but the harem elements are way over the top.

Wait! What? Where? WHo? How come I missed that? I'm confused. I know there is a wedding episode in there that has to do with other characters that aren't the main ones. Is that the one you are talking about?

I didn't know that. I have the series but I haven't watched it yet but this is definitely telling me to do so now! Ohhhhhh, I love it when things come together in the end :).

Crap, how do you do spoilers in here? I'm going to try the old fashioned way but if it doesn't, this may spoil you for the end of the Saint Tail Anime! Asuka Jr. asks her to marry him, but they aren't married. It is assumed though that it is something that will happen in the future since they just got engaged.

City Hunter ends with Ryo & Kaori's wedding, or its about to happen.

Did I miss something? I've seen every single City Hunter episode, OAV and movie and I don't recall this. There was an episode where they pretended to be a married couple but that was it.

Marriage (http://www.animeondvd.com/reviews2/disc_reviews/454.php) is all about getting hitched.

The live-action One Pound Gospel TV series (http://wiki.d-addicts.com/1_Pound_no_Fukuin) ends with marriage.

Hide Tags, are sooo, last message board. Why not give the new and improved Spoiler Tags [spoiler]a try? They block out everything!. :)

I've seen Saint Tail, so I wasn't spoiled.

Marmalade Boy has a wedding at the end, though it's not quite the wedding you'd expect: Meiko and Nakamura-sensei, not Yuu and Miki

Cha. It's just been awhile since I'd seen it, and for some reason the manga stuck more in my mind then the anime, so it's not an overly big spoiler, just a reminder I need to really refresh my memory on anime I haven't seen in awhile :) But thanks for the Spoiler Warning attempt just in case ^_^

Don't mean to nitpick - ah hell, sure I do! :) - but their wedding hapens halfway through the Macross arc, not at the end. Robotech II: The Sentinels ends with Rick and Lisa's wedding, though. I don't know if that one counts, but I'm mentioning it anyway. :)

Oh, and Gravion has a wedding at the end too.

Urusei Yatsura movie 1 ends with a wedding. Though it probably isn't much of a spoiler that Ataru runs away at the last minute.

One series that comes to mind is Slayers Try. Martina gets married to Zangalus using a cardboard cutout for the scene of a homeland that has yet to rebuild.

I had to mention it again - Akazukin Chacha between Dorothy and Seravy but it ends in a very Ranma 1/2 way shall we say with Yakko and Orin's (yep Orin of all people) involvement...heh, heh, heh...

If manga you count though as well, then Gals (a.k.a Supergals) with Yamato and Miyu tying the knot in Hawaii, love that end - wish it had been animated...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that Slayers Next and not Try?

My bad, it is Next. I remember that it was the second season, but got the Try and Next mixed up. So Slayers Next ended with a wedding.

I find it interesting that it isn't used more in anime. I've watched a ton of Korean and Cantonese serials, and almost 50% of them end in a super-happy wedding. I think it's a popular ending for American movies as well.

I wonder if this says anything about the attitudes towards commitment in anime and manga writers.

I would have figured it had more to do with the average age of the characters in anime and manga being below the legal age to marry...

When has a little thing like legal age ever stopped anime from doing what they want? ;)

That said, many high-school anime usually end when the main character is close to legal age anyway.

In the beginning of Angel Heart, they're going to get married, but then something terrible happens.

Well, I don't know why this was moved. But thanks for all the replies, folks. I'll be sure to check some of these out, though I should've specified that I'm not info fansubs --I see some series I don't recognize at all.

I completely forgot about Tenchi Muyo! GXP... hahaha... that ending was hilarious. Good call on Nadia, too.

Now... Marmalade Boy I really didn't care for. I saw the first boxset a few years ago, and it's just too teenie-bopper melodrama for my tastes. I'll be sure to check out You're Under Arrest, though. I actually have Gravion somewhere in my backlog pile, knowing there's a wedding of some sort in the end makes me a little more interested now. Same goes for Macross (I have the Protoculture Roboetech collection too.)

Is One Pound Gospel available in manga form in the U.S.? Does it have a similar ending to the live action series?

Thanks for all the great suggestions, folks. I'll be sure to refer back to this thread for future reference.

Project A-Ko. Although the ceremony is interrupted and never finished.
