any thoughts on which shows if you were selling insurance you would not want to sell insurance to these people. Please lets not included any thing dbz or anything with planet destroying shows. my vote would be for Urusei Yatsura. the poor town gets ruin nearly ever episode and the school takes a trashing yet magically is new again in the next weeks showing.
Dirty Pair
X would be pretty bad too.

Shear property destruction, eh?
Of course, with truly apocalyptic anime insurance companies wouldn't matter, so you have to choose things with tons of destruction but not THAT much destruction...
I'll go with Earth Girl Arujuna, where in the end
Pretty much every structure in Japan is destroyed by a mutated oil/plastic eating bacteria, although the rest of the world is mostly spared, if I recall
Also, Bokurano is a good one, too.
The Great Bear

Well, there's Scrapped Princess, where you have massive amounts of destruction at times.
Dirty Pair, already mentioned, would be a claims adjuster's nightmare.
I'd think that just about any show that has giant robots would be bad for the insurers, since where you have giant robots, destruction of property is sure to follow.

Patlabor TV had an entire episode where an agent from their insurance company followed Section 2 around for a period of time, noting the destruction. They tried to be on their best behavior, but ...
Mecha and collateral damage seem to go hand in hand.

Ooo, good topic.
Any Gundam series really, but I'd go with R.O.D TV. Why? They take down a huge building and then flood a city! I can't imagine the insurance on that one :keroro:

Black Lagoon.... need I say more?
Trigun.... It was proven, the 6 Billion $$ man could lay waste to a huge city and punch a hole in the moon....

Well they did send two insurance ladies after Vash, so you're on the right track :P

Patlabor TV immediately came to mind for me as well because of this episode. It was a classic in looking at the whole insurance angle of mecha fights.

Macross, imagine having an insurance system in that town.

Black Lagoon. Just imagine how bad you have to screw to be assigned in that town.
Witchblade and Daphne in the Brilliant Blue wouldn't be picnics either.

Hmm, clearly there is too large a set of possibilities here... Maybe we should limit it to "accidental" damage instead of "collateral" damage. I.e. only things destroyed completely by accident count, not just when destroyed as the side effect of fighting or other purposeful actions.

I'll go with Ranma 1/2 - the Tendo Dojo gets destroyed at least once per episode through various battles, challenges and declarations of love on a bicycle in 8 seasons not to mention the schools, restuarants, etc...

I will go with Evangelion since NERV is always blowing up buildings in the process to exterminate these rogue angels. Heck, the whole world might have to be built from the ground up when all is said and done, maybe. My insurance company would go bankrupt after one angel attack.

Any general insurance in City F in Excel Saga.
Life insurance in Death Note.....
Insuring Tokyo in X-Tv or X/1999

I don't want to know what the Moroboshi's insurance rates were like in Urusei Yatsura given how many times their house was destroyed. The same goes for Tomobiki High.
But as far as pure unintended, collateral damage goes... I think Dirty Pair has to take the cake.

I'd really like the OVAs & manga to be licensed. Seems a fascinating story.
AFA Gundam goes, I wouldn't want to be an off-world insurance company. :sweat1:

Black Lagoon has plenty of destruction, especially that one bar Revy seems to have a habit of destroying.

Trigun, of course. Hell, a pair of insurance agents were main characters, even.
