In Summary:
I don’t know how The Tower of Druaga - the Aegis of Uruk - stacks up against other shows out this season in Japan, but it’s one of the more enjoyable shows I’m watching right now in general. The series has a great flow to it and a wonderful visual approach. There are enough things that have me wondering where it’s really going to end up and how much that opening is playing with me. The characters are all fun and enjoyable, the animation is solid and it has a lot of inside jokes that you can get even if you never played the game before. From the moment that the opening sequence hits, this series has me smiling and glued to the screen until it’s over. This is a series that has a good bit of replay value to it and I’m already looking forward to watching it again on a larger screen some day, hopefully dubbed as well as an English cast could have a lot of fun with this.

Coopa fans will be mildly disappointed with her lack of screen time however.

Ah, but at least we got to... no wait I'll be killed if I say it. I have to remember she's only 10. In any case I am curious as to what they'll with the remaining episodes. There's only so much time left. I wouldn't be surprised if the remaining episodes were more on the serious side. Also that poll is just evil.

At first, I was a little unsure of the episode. Yes, they did a great, if not superb, job at recreating that classic arcade era gone by (culturally different, but nostalgic nonetheless) and it was pretty amusing overall, but it still felt like the show was stuck in traction, as nothing plotwise was moving along and that bit of shallowness continued to prevail. That changed towards the very end of the episode, as it actually seemed like things might finally start progressing. A very good episode, in hindsight.

Now, this might get me flamed/kicked off the site, but I'm really not that enthralled by either Kaaya or Coopa, or even Fantina (another fan favorite). They're not bad or anything (they're actually good characters, though the latter's seems more inconsequential), but they're not terribly remarkable, either. Maybe Ahmey or the female commander with Kelb are slightly more interesting, as they have been quieter/stronger-willed characters that have gotten into embarassing or amusing situations, but no one appears to be worth fawning over that much, design- or personality-wise.

Sorry but Kaaya is at the bottom of my favorite character list for this show(I vote either Jil or Coopa). I liked this episode, I like alot of shows where characters play video games come to think of it.

Another episode on crack! I must however say that Jil's idealistic nature can get annoying though if not for the fact that he is being balanced by a great supporting cast.
