Compared to the first thinpak, I think this is a downgrade.

I think the first set looks better but I think I'm still going to get this set, especially if it has the extras.

I agree, but still looking forward to it, since it may have extras.

I have the first thinpak and so far it looks better than this re-release.

I agree with that all the way...

Ugh, major downgrade. That's always been her ugliest outfit.

I like the original cover art better as well. They seem to be using the same marketing mentality they used on the brick for Princess Tutu- flash a little skin and try and downplay the shoujo origins of the series...

Not to judge by it's cover, but I think it's worth the purchase if it includes the extras, but I'll wait for those to be confirmed as present or not on this site before deciding to buy.

I actually quite like this but not enough to upgarde unless the extras are back.

I like this as a cover of a DVD case or thinpak case (which it is), but I liked the original thinpak cover a lot more. Still, I may upgrade if it contains extras. Doubt it, though.

I'm not holding my breath on extras. If they are back, I'll buy this one, if not it's hunt for the singles time once I've got money again. Ironically, I've gone broke buying anime while the anime industry dies of rot. Funny huh?

I echo the sentiments. the first set definitely looked better compared to this. But, if it has the extras then it will definitely feel like it has much more than the original. One part of me wishes it didn't though :P... and it still might not.

After looking at the 3D cover art, I still prefer the original thinpak. It remains to be seen if this will include the extras.

EDIT: chronoclast if you want, you can replace the Amazon.com cover art with these two on the first post.

I really hope these aren't downgrades - as in thick chipboard thinpak to alpha case - the white border is worrying. Though I doubt it, considering the price point.

I don't know if it'll be a brick or thinpak, but they definitely went for the girl angle here. Where the heck are the guys? If it has extras then I'll cry but I'm shooting for it being bare like the original thinpak.

The artwork compare to the boxset seems inadequate, but the snowflakes around it look nice.

*Notices this in multiple threads* Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but I'm getting the impression that ADV's seriously re-thinking the whole "Let's kill the extras" ideal. Either way I got the singles for Pretear so I had no need to worry either way about this.

It does look that way. Most of the upcoming collections (re-release or otherwise) are keeping the extras. This is something that should have been done in the first place.

This is so good. They seem to change plan...since not a long time ago... Like FMP Fumoffu 2nd release will not have the extra back... What did happen?

I agree they should have done that since the beginning, but who ever knows what some companies are thinking when they decide something. Still, if it wasn't for the fact that I feel like the cover for this thinpak doesn't work for it, I'd double dip. I love the box for the first thinpak.

Alright! I don't have to hunt the singles down now! Collection with extras is on the list!

Now I just need to pay off my current credit card bill and buy them.

Then I have no problem with the artwork being less beautiful than the first thinpak.

Meh. Keeping the first, because it is indeed a beautiful boxset.

The only one I might double-dip on for the sake of extras is Chrono Crusade, and that's because Azmaria's Extra Classes are great.

I don't think that they've announced a rerelease of CC yet, but they probably will. Or did I miss something?

At the moment it's not solicited. With all these re-release collection coming out, it may just be a matter of time before it's released.

Likewise for Azumanga. Those two were the main two that had extras that are related to the anime, as in they were originally created to go with the anime.

Yeah, that's one that since I don't have and I'm whatever for the previous thinpak design, I would like to get with the extras.
