Ah I definitely like this one. The covers in general have been quite nice.
Yet another solid cover for Tweeny Witches. I can't wait for Vol.3 and this OVA.

Maybe making some covers "wow" and others " meh" is meant to provide balance to the universe? Regardless I'm just lucky that the covers for both Tweeny Witches and Simoun are good. The covers for Strawberry Panic are also good, but that's both a good luck thing and a bad luck thing depending on how I look at it.

I just think some consistency would be a good thing, especially when it comes to shows I like or don't like. Every show has its fan base, they deserve a piece of the quality cake too... I'm not being too harsh, just sayin' it'd be nice....

Because this is Media Blasters, they'll likely release a Premium Collection in the same box that came with volume one (so all volumes in sturdy box). Then a little later they'll release an economy collection that will either be the singles collected in a paper box or a brick.

A premium collection is likely in the future. I believe all of the MB series that released a volume one w/artbox (or a volume three) had a premium collection released later using the exact same artbox. Economy collections will like follow sometime after the premium collection release.

Yes, it is cheap... but I believev WTK said that the singles are not on sale anymore. Still, paying only 14.99 per volume is cheap compared to MSRP prices and such from other companies.

They are no longer $9.99 for Vol.1 or Vol.2. $14.99 is still a decent price though.

I'm definitely glad I went for them when I did. Since that $10 saved can go towards volume 3. Hmm would be nice if volume 3 and 4 also went on sale. Granted sales are always a random thing...

The September 30th release of Tweeny Witches Adventures is delayed, according to Media Blasters. The announcement, which came a few days after the supposed street date, indicates that the release is now planned for an unspecified firm date in January 2009. No reason for the delay was given though it was noted that at least the upcoming planned Tweeny Witches: Book of Spells Collection in December 2008 will go ahead without problem.

I've been highly anticipating the OVA, and now that it's delayed to past the set's release I'll probably have to buy the set. I wanted to re-buy volume 1 for the box anyways, and since I got the singles on the cheap at Best Buy I won't be losing more than a few bucks a volume if I sell them at my local half-price store.
(Speaking of Best Buy, I'm hoping that the price - $90 - they have listed right now is one of those "early listing overprice" mistakes they tend to make, since it makes no sense along with their singles prices...but knowing them and "premium collections" it's probably not . Which sucks because I prefer buying anime locally to ordering online :/.)

Yeah, the set's only good for me because I got the first three for a deal so I can sell them pretty easily, and I wanted the box (which I didn't initially get) anyways.

That's too bad but perhaps it's related to the problem they had when a member of the staff got hurt after Otakon...

This happened with Tactics last year. Released 4 volumes as singles but the fifth and last was only available in a boxed set and then was finally released as a single several months after the boxed set came out. I'm sure it made sense to the company at the time, what with fans saying they were waiting for boxed sets, but inconvenient to the buyers of singles.

That case was slightly different as the boxset was originally available via TWEC stores only. Manga Ent. did some sort of agreement with them for an earlier release.
And in this case, it looks like the complete collection may be released before the OVA gets released.

Yeah, odd (non-Tuesday) release dates are usually placeholders.
I'm still a bit disappointed in MB, since it looks like the complete collection will go forward as usual. Tweeny might just be the last show I buy from MB in singles.

Ah, but then again cookies can taste good sometimes. Plus it's not like the cookie-cutter only makes gingerbread men. It also makes other things to. Finally a new recipe is only effective with the right ingredients. If you can translate my post then you already understand what I'm getting at.

This is highly unamusing.
I guess I'll be passing on the OVA. If it never gets released, okay, at least the show was complete and there was a satisfying conclusion to it.
If it does get released far down the line, I'll have forgotten it existed, and I'll have saved some money.
So, no problems either way.

Exactly. That's how I am currently treating MB shows. While I might still consider Genshiken in singles, I might not. Everything else is going to be collection or nothing.

Well if you want to get technical, I fail at being a true one in terms of this series anyway. After all I didn't bother getting the box.:P So if anything, WTK is more of one than I am. That being said there might be a series out there where I went all out, but no example comes to mind.

That falls into my category. I don't necessarily have to get the OVA, but since I have the TV series, I should get it as well.
I'm OCD with completing sets.... I'm happy with the 3 volumes I watched.... but if it comes out, I will get it....
It looks like this is really getting released this time...RACS has this in-stock now.

So, it's appearing? I guess I should order it at some point.

Same here, the only question for me will be when. Problem is they've given me plenty of time to find other things I need to get.

That's usually what happens with these type of things :). Will this come out in BB? I ask because if that is the case then it has a better chance of being purchased by me on a faster schedule.

I have no idea, well BB was where I got the other volumes. Although to be honest I would not be surprised if I end up having to get this somewhere else. Heck it might not be long before I lose all reason to even bother with BB, but that's another story.

I'm not sure if it will even show up. It has a 2/10 release date. It may eventually show up, but it's BB so anything goes with the recent anime releases.

Well, if anyone lives in the NYC or NJ area, the new RareFlix store MB opened does have this OVA. I bought it over there for $20 today, which is not half bad.

It arrived today and it looks pretty nice, and now the MB ban can proceed without interruption.

I got mine this morning, too, though Indian Summer took precedence for watching.
